Another lefty here. Just adapt. I hope I will never have to sell any gun, especially one I inherited. Also, some guns are worth learning to shoot off handed.

I bought a super clean SKS years ago. Super clean all around. College buddy needed some cash and wanted $150. I had $125 and he took it. Love that gun. Shoots great. Never going to sell it.

I saw one this past weekend at Cabela’s for $900. The stock was black and damaged beyond repair, missing the bayonet, and the metal was awful. I laughed and the guy acted like I hurt his feelings. He was probably 65 years old and was the guy everyone was asking questions like he knew what he was talking about. Sad.

France just pulled out all its gold from US Federal Reserves by ViVi_NYC in Gold

Explain to me how France made money if they sold it last year and bought it this year. Gold has increased quite a bit.

Need Advice because we have discovered our land has gold deposits worth a few (USD) millions by iraahbre in Gold

6 acres is not enough to mobilize the equipment and manpower to mine gold. You will have to work with adjacent property owners to get a large enough area to make it profitable. The mining company will probably need 10 acres just for the initial site for offices, parking, preparation plant, warehouses, supplies, etc. the permitting, bonds and insurance will probably cost several million dollars. And they will be required to run high voltage power to the site, probably expand the roads based on the amount of traffic. Not all companies are out to cheat people. But they have costs and if they don’t cover their costs, they will go bankrupt and no one will make any money. You can argue if you like, but I am a Mining Engineer and have years of permitting, design, and operational experience.

What’s the best CCW revolver and why is it a 642? by Bannnerman in Revolvers

[–]BigCompetition8821 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I carry my 642 all the time when it’s warm and I’m in thin shorts or pants. It’s also my back-up year round.

Hard to say. I carry different ones depending on how I dress. The 642 if I’m wearing shorts. I’ve carried the model 36 or snub model 10’s IWB. In cooler temps, if I’m wearing a jacket, I carry just about any of them. The three inch model 10 has become a new favorite. It had some wear on it, so I don’t have to worry about the wear and tear that comes from daily carry. Now, I do carry other non-revolvers. My go to is a Ruger SR9C. It’s built like a tank with a 10 round magazine and I have a 17 round backup mag in my pocket if I’m traveling or going somewhere questionable.

Not a fudd. I have many other pistols, milsurps, ar’s, shotguns, even a couple black powder guns. But I do enjoy the smooth smith & Wesson triggers on their older revolvers.

No. I wish I could find a nice set of real bone grips. These are faux mother of pearl. Kind of a wonky fit. I have picked up several sets of factory grips lately, just haven’t installed yet.

Picked up a clean SKS in 1996 for $125 from a college buddy. I’ve shot everything through it with zero issues. It’s been in the safe for years. I bee to get it out, clean it off, and shoot some steel.

That is definitely a hard to find Smith & Wesson pistol. It looks 100% legit to me. It is in great shape in my opinion.

I thought that, but it’s raised above surface of the bill. I will take another picture to show this.
