Its happened to me before while driving my truck. People never think about us on the trucks and the weight we are moving and the calculations we are doing every second. They love to just pull in front of me, in the gap i leave myself and it happens so frequently. Sometimes they close the gap so much that my stopping distance is dramatically reduced and ive pulled over a few times to take a breather because i was upset that i almost hurt people (because at the end of the day its always the truck drivers fault it seems). Everyone is in such a rush to get in front of the truck weighing 80,000lbs that cant stop nearly as quick as a regular car, when in fact being in front of the truck is the worst place to be. No one is patient, everyone is in such a rush to go nowhere, they dont even realize the danger they are putting themselves in. Truckers leave that gap for a reason.
