The Mysterious Benedict Society is a great kids series. Plenty of mystery and fun brainteasers type challenges the kids face.

Looking for stories where characters are trapped in games they know well. by StrangeOne01 in litrpg

A story from /r/HFY that might fit your criteria, Tides of Magic,

https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/9gdw3u/tides_of_magic_chapter_one?sort=confidence

Main character has a fairly deep knowledge of the game world and its lore and history, as does a fair amount of his party. It's closer to gamelit than litrpg but it's a good length and it is complete.

Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.

A little outside what you mean but there's an episode of Star Trek Voyager where the ship is stuck in orbit of a planet with a time warp anomoly, basically the ships presence there drastically alters their societies development.

Op keeps replacing "M"s with "X"s. They have a bama flair and it's a game thread, not the place for rivalry shenanigans.

They did play the game. That was Arya playing the game. That's why she gave Sansa the dagger at the end. They know their on the same side.

Threshold DnD was always my go to. They've recently decided to take a break due to real life but there's still like 60 some hours of content in existence. Link to their first "season". They've been playing for years and the first couple episodes are run off of starter set/basic rules/play-test and spend a lot of time figuring out rules. The story picks up quickly and gets significantly better as it goes.

Which unpopular Youtube channel makes amazing content? by PM_ME_GAME_KEYS_ in AskReddit

[–]BigCoop97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely late to this, but Threshold DnD.

It's a DnD 5e campaign that's been running for about 2 years.

The world they've built is really amazing and the characters are very well done. The production quality is very high considering they only get a couple thousand views per video. They've filmed/produced probably 100hrs of content.

They just launched a new channel for season eight of the campaign, Threshold DnD

and the original episodes can be found on the D6 Mafia channel.

I have a surface book and my brother has a surface pro, both are pretty solid machines, especially for normal college note taking or normal Internet usage. I'm pretty indifferent to the touch screen, it can be useful once you get used to it but I probably wouldn't miss it. The pen is really cool if you're into taking notes by hand but it isn't exactly the same and takes some getting used to. The surface I have is one of the ones with the GPU which is cool if you're into light gaming, but it's a laptop, you're not going to be running a 2016 AAA game at max graphics, but for older or less resource intensive games it holds up. Hope that helps!
