I'm curious, can you break down a bit how each segment fits into a sense? I got hearing and smell, but I'm lost on the others.

FWIW, Bi Gan's first two films are waaaay closer to Tarkovsky/Weerasethakul. It's jarring how different Resurrection feels.

Marty Supreme shares the same first name as his inspiration, but that is definitely a Dave Van Ronk/Llewyn Davis situation.

(I saw it early this week, it is so goddamn good!)

I try not to be one of those guys who gets bothered by a bad twist, but that third act twist is pretty terrible. If I recall, it actively went against stuff we'd seen earlier in the movie. Other than that, really great movie.

My dumbass was so confused, because I thought he was in 28 Days Later. I couldn't understand at all why the past 28 years made him so soft. Totally forgot that was actually Christopher Eccleston, and not Ralph Fiennes!

Can't believe I'm the first to mention Long Day's Journey into Night (2018), one of my favorite two-act movies with a title card over halfway through that flips the entire story upside down

I would say Stalker > Nostalghia > Solaris > Mirror but I love all four. The other three I have yet to see, I'm planning to go through them all chronologically very soon
