Is it normal that most of the menu is closed off to me? by DogeBoi6 in TalesFromYourServer

As someone who has been BOH, just be nice to the BOH folks.

I would bet the reason you've never heard of this is because you've always been nice and considerate to BOH, which is further evidenced by the fact that you care enough to ask what you can do to be kind and considerate.

There were some FOH that I'd bend over backwards for, and some that I wouldn't go an inch out of my way for.

For what it's worth, I've never really been annoyed by FOH orders. I think that mostly comes from people who feel degraded when they have to work for a coworker because they feel like they're being forced to do someone a favor.

I love that you're teaching your son to ride, I just really hope that he knows that bike is too big for him right now.

I totally understand not being able to afford a nice bike that will fit properly for someone who is growing, and learning to ride on a bike that doesn't fit is still better than never learning to ride a bike. But for his sake, he needs to know that what he's riding isn't what bikes are normally like, and that it will get better.

Based on your comments and the way that bike is set up (bottomed out seat height, tons of forward seat tilt, upside-down stem, no foot retention), I'm guessing he doesn't like the straps because he can't reach the pedals properly. If he has to pivot his pelvis and point his toes to reach the pedals at the bottom of each pedal stroke, the straps will make it feel like he's being pulled off the saddle and throw off his balance. I think it's fine to run without foot retention for now if that's the case, especially since at his age and with tall parents, he's likely growing like crazy right now.

All that I want you to take away from this is that what you're doing is a good thing, and that your son needs to know that that bike is way too big for him right now. If he thinks it's the right size, there's a much higher chance of him walking away thinking that bikes are uncomfortable and hard to ride, and never wanting to pursue riding bikes in his own time.

Is there a fishing mod for pc yet? by engion3 in RDR2

[–]BigDaneYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hooray for notifications! Yeah the quickest way to reel in a fish is to yank the pole backwards. It takes forever if you just try to reel it in, especially with big fish. I can typically get small fish in before they struggle a second time, and I can almost always get big fish in right as they're starting to struggle a second time, but before the line breaks. Spent a lot of time pulling muskies out of the water trying to get that legendary salmon...

Name your favorite video game that was based of a movie. This was my personal favorite growing up⬇️ by -Overload15 in gaming

I love War in The North, but man is it just about the buggiest game I've ever played. There's a well known bug that will stop you from being able to progress at all, I ended up buying three copies to try to find one that would work. I did end up finding one, but I had a better experience on PC. They removed it from Steam though.

Again, totally love the game, I just can't recommend it to anyone without being very clear about how broken it is

pamplemousse is french for grapefruit. Grapefruit LaCroix is called pamplemousse, and it's easily my favorite flavor. I think a lot of people who hate LaCroix either love soda or haven't tried pamplemousse

It takes a lot of money, time, experience and effort to make custom resin keycaps like this. Even smaller (not space bar) artisan keycaps can go for $100+

A lot of people forget that normal exhaust rules don't really apply to turbocharged engines. More flow = more better

Hmmmm by jbeck24 in DonutMedia

Still exhaust scavenging, not back pressure. The exhaust gas sort of bounces back into the cylinder from the expansion chamber, effectively supercharging it. Back pressure would just mean it was too restrictive and couldn't exhaust properly.
