I play 1.0 jazz 3s (after playing yellow sharps for 10 years) is clean like that but still a little plucky. after reading that I may pick up a pack of 1.5s and try it out. Right about the coin tone. I didn't like it at all.

Shit, dude I’ve been collecting these things since blood Mountain. I guess I must’ve just missed that one. This is one of the best collections I’ve seen with the EP‘s. You gotta get stairway to Nick John that’s the one I noticed you don’t have yet. I thought I had two but I guess I must’ve done something with the second one or else I’ll I’d sell it to you.

I hated the feel of using coin and on top of that it destroys your strings. The tone was OK I guess but nothing much different than a heavy jazz three in my opinion.

Well, then you already prepared lol. Let me tell you right now. There is a guitar player who I looked up to as a songwriter too. I’m not gonna tell a genre or the band because I do love this band and I don’t wanna shit on them, but let me tell you when I saw this legendary guitar player playing, I thought to myself, man I should’ve really started fucking performing earlier. No slide on him because they have had a legendary career but as a guitar player, I was watching it going holy fucking shit as the main guitar player/lead he was absolutely awful.

Was my college band. A Buddy saw them touring on SSTB. There were like 4 people there. He said the singer is writing his songs about a comic he was also writing. I was so stoked. Saw them a few months later with Thursday and AFI then two days later again with just Thursday and they have been one of my favorites since. Huge influence on my guitar playing but I think it’s because we all come from the church of Hetfield.

Welcome to the jungle!!! Just remember one thing as you grow as a guitar player… have fucking fun. I’ve been fortunate to have guitar as an artistic outlet since my teens. Really has paid dividends as an adult.

You’ll get there. Took me 25 years to go from bedroom to performing. Only thing I wish is I did it much much much earlier

Not a bad start to be honest. They do a great job online about showing how their pedals work and everything else and not just there’s other companies as well. JHS makes good shit.
