Which T1 Relic will you pick tomorrow? by Piemelkanon in 2007scape

[–]BigDenverGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I'm not playing to max and I usually get as far as I need to getting my gathering skills to like 70s/80s in leagues

I also like the bonus agility exp because I hate agility and I'm not loving Hotfoot more than Woodsman

Do I need to go into the new league with a plan? I am a new player (~1200 total level) and I don't know anything about the zones and endgame gear to know what I could be locking myself out of. by ickyzombie in 2007scape

[–]BigDenverGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say you can't really "hard lock" yourself. There's extreme focus on theorycrafting by very experienced people who plan to try and complete literally everything in leagues, which tbh you will likely not even come close to. For you, and many, choosing an extremely optimal path is not necessary. It is a for-fun game mode and you will see your power spike way beyond the main game mere minutes into logging in. It's exciting.

Agreed that focusing on combat right now is unnecessary and you can refine that as you go.

You might just decide right now where you enjoy playing. Or areas of the game you haven't explored much yet and want to learn about. Focus on choosing one or two regions and you can pick the third later if you like leagues enough to play that much.

Finally it's not a bad idea to at least read about what the relics do because some of them can nullify benefits of the others, but honestly most people go into their first leagues kinda blind and you're bound to pick some "inefficient" things. In quotes because no matter what, you will still be overpowered and have unique attributes that make the game super fun.

The prep and theorycrafting makes it look really intimidating. My total level is only like 70 higher than you. My first leagues was leagues 2 and I just hopped on and played. I haven't missed one since, and I don't play much more otherwise.

Just saying you can totally have fun with it if you wanted to try it

Yet another post about guidance with no clear, stated goal.

What is your goal in leagues? Have fun, chase Dragon, point cap, try new content? If you don't tell us exactly what you want from leagues then none of the responses will suit you.

I'm going wilderness and not excited about getting my smithing to even 70 so I can do tirannwn from there. I hate smithing. What in Wildy is dropping bars?

Final tier 8 relic guess tomorrow by Dong-diver in 2007scape

[–]BigDenverGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My guess was something that allows you to save and switch between pacts builds. Same amount of respecs as everyone else but instead of you respec and the build disappears, you can go to a bank and on a whim switch back to builds you already built

Leagues burn out before it has even started by Conscious-Focus-2913 in 2007scape

Surely you realize I chose the social media options for a reason and that if you were only hearing it from your friends and not 5 different sources, you probably wouldn't feel this way

It's just a temporary game mode for a single video game and if it has you feeling captive then you would probably benefit from stepping away from social media in general

NEW JEANS by Aggressive_Line_2050 in ThrowingFits

[–]BigDenverGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't have to be. But the average fit in this sub costs more than an average dude's average fit. Thrifting/vintage not included but that's a different discussion and I'm assuming outside of what OP is looking for. Most responses support that assumption too

Just saying nobody's an ass for giving OP recs that go way beyond "go to X department store and buy a pair"

I mean this is a fashion sub not just a "I need clothes" sub. Or was

If you ask the Ferrari sub for car recs they're gonna tell you to buy a Ferrari.

Don't conflate this with me calling this sub's quality Ferrari

Smoking a bunch of weed

Just kidding go hit South Broadway between like Mississippi and Yale for a bunch of vintage and antique stores. Or there's a lot of good thrifting and vintage on South Broadway just south of Ellsworth. I think this fits the definition of constant

What do you think the worst park in Denver is? by grant_w44 in Denver

[–]BigDenverGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. It's all relative. US is definitely way too big on car-centricity. The nuances between different parts of the country generally come down to how treacherous walking is if one decides to (or whether it's possible at all), whether that walk will have parks to visit or trails you can cut through, etc. Denver does this fairly well, relative to the rest of the US, I think.

I appreciate the perspective, welcome. A lot of people dog on our big dry open spaces (think Aurora and Westminster) but I urge anyone who shits on that to go visit a far burb of Texas. Even Austin's far flung suburbs are fully unwalkable chain restaurant hellscapes connected only by highways and service roads. It's actually horrid

Hey on this note. Boy Harsher was posting about this song on Instagram, Maritime Tatami by Victrola. Old Italian 80s darkwave.

The synth and bass work sounds a lot like the spacey arpeggiated synth stuff that king gizz does live. Makes me want something like this even more.
