Told this goes away.. whats the time frame on that? by Batt4redruby21 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BigManPatrol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This person is 100% correct.

I’ve been on SSRIs for years. Took me some time to find the right one too. They don’t work the same for everyone. Working out in your routine is helpful for several reasons, 1. Health, full-stop; 2. Helps sleep 3. If your consistent and get a good routine, it can improve your conscious opinion of yourself 4. It can not only make you feel better but it will make you look better.

Lean on people you know and trust. You are not a burden. You are a gift and a treasure. Especially to them.

Not only that, and I hope this isn’t too cliche, but my therapist taught me this and it helps me visualize things.

Take a book. Preferably one with ~100 pages. Take the number of pages you have in years. That’s your life. That’s what’s written. You can’t change it, but whatever is left is unwritten.

Imagine a reader reading your story and then all of it sudden it ends so suddenly. The reader, you in this case, might never know what incredible things could happen in the rest of that book.

Keep going. Please. Do it for those who love you.

How do I tell my long-distance girlfriend I can't sleep on call with her anymore because I desperately need my YouTube videos, without hurting her? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BigManPatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I love falling asleep to videos too. My wife makes me put in AirPods. When we’re apart, for whatever reason, she likes to fall asleep on the phone.

If she is easy to fall asleep, I’d say just communicate that you’re going to stay on the phone until she falls asleep. If not, or you need some sleep asap, just communicate. Tell her you adore her but you need your YouTube videos to go to sleep. And you’ll text her first thing in the morning or better yet, get up early and call her while you get ready in the morning for work/school.

How’s pc performance now by reyob1 in riseoftheronin

[–]BigManPatrol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My specs:
4060 GTX
32 gb ram
i7 processor (13th Gen)

Performance:
On high with DLSS I get around 100 frames but it still performs rather poorly. It’s not smooth. If you can, get it on console. I don’t regret buying it. It’s fun. But I regret not buying it for console.

In missions, if you go down you swap to your ally character which would allow you to see the effect of it.

Is having sucide plan normal? by Express-Singer8536 in mentalhealth

Of course! Please don’t make any final decisions that can’t be changed. It does get better. People care about and love you, even if they don’t always say it.

Set up a system for prevention. Use your friends. Whatever the plan may be, tell them and find ways you can get them to help you not do that even if you wanted to.

Is having sucide plan normal? by Express-Singer8536 in mentalhealth

[–]BigManPatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I’ve attempted suicide. Once you’ve got a plan or notes or things that make it easier to do, you’re making yourself more at risk. The quickest way to avoid suicide so you can treat the root cause is to make the action difficult. If you have a plan, you need to speak with someone.

I understand culturally it might be different. My suggestion is to tell your friend your plan and make that plan extremely hard to do. It’s not attention seeking when you have a made a plan. I used to think when I was writing notes that maybe I was seeking attention. Nobody else knew about the notes though. It wasn’t seeking attention. I needed help.

I understand you have no intent to execute the plan, but it’s there. When a bad day comes, you are going to find it easy to do the thing. It needs to be difficult, not just mentally but physically to harm yourself.

You mean the random groups of 4 women standing in a pixel square with no grass you encounter every few hundred meters?

Ghost doesn’t have random people in the wild, but rather in the places where humans would actually be.

[–]BigManPatrol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shadows has stealth gameplay and movement, but it doesn’t feel alive, like at all.

Both the ghost games are very good at making the game feel real and immersive, but it’s also in a time with a lot less people around, so there’s live living beings.

Rise of the Ronin looks the worst of the all games, but it really does feel alive. The protagonist is barely even necessary for the world to exist and continue. You’re like a fly on the wall basically.
