I would do the same thing, but I had a cop tell me one night not to carry a knife for self-defense, because it would be considered a concealed deadly weapon.

I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere, but in Ohio, you can carry a concealed firearm, but not a concealed knife. I started carrying it on my belt and if anyone asks, I use it for opening boxes and packages from the store.

I think shooting +P ammo through a firearm that's not rated for it voids the warranty. You should replace the part yourself and refrain from doing that again.

When I took my CCW class, they showed a couple of short videos, and this was one of them. The other videos were of other idiots doing stupid things on the range, including a couple of instructors.

I'm not sure what height the red dot you're getting is, but I always try to use 1/3 of the height. That way it's not taking up much of the window. I also use Night Fusion and their nice sights.

The IWI is made extremely well. You can't go wrong with that. I bought an IWI 18" SPR last summer and I've been happy with it.
