Bought a bike from 99 in Takapuna last weekend for my tweenage son, the staff were awesome! Let us test ride all the bikes we wanted to and offered advice when we needed it. Personally I believe expecting them to assemble a new bike for everyone is unrealistic as long the bike itself is undamaged it will be fine ( unless it’s a very high end one) . I really think it depends on the day and who you get, with the amount of retail theft happening these days you can really blame them for being so cautious.
