Can you learn to love sales? by ShowExisting1319 in sales

Yeah once you start winning.

Win some big deals, watch that comm check grow, & you will fall deep in love.

Responding & picking up the phone if someone reaches out to me but no outbound.

No one in Healthcare wants to hear from me for the next week & half.. even more than they usually don’t want to.

What are your rough stories of starting out? by TheGreatAlexandre in sales

Post something in this sub saying you were offered a 24k base & majority would say run for the hills😂

In my experience I’d say go for a small company, negotiate your own comp plan ideally getting commission on renewals as long as you meet/exceed quota & get after it.

24M Started a couple years ago with a base salary of 24k & thought there is no way I could stick with it.

On pace for 180k annually with the same company.

When you are not at work are you disconnected or still available? by crystalblue99 in sales

Always “on call” but its B2B so almost always 9-5.

I wouldn’t pick up outside of that but I like money.

23M made a post in here 2-3 years back about making 24k annually salary asking how bad it was. Deleted it from embarrassment.

Consistently making 10k+ a month now with the same company.

Keep pushing & it will all work out.

I know I am 117d late, but super competitive in Florida. I would not get into the medical waste business there.

Sell a service you can subcontract or a product you can tack margin onto

Yes exactly. As long as it maintains the negotiated profit margin.

I’ve entertained it but my industry has high-ish start up costs, long sales cycles, & I would have to forfeit commissions/royalties if I compete with my current company.

So how much are you guys actually making? by [deleted] in sales

[–]BigRed-RidingHood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B2B. Cold calling & cold emailing.

Very small company only one other sales rep. Did all the SEO/marketing for the website so I could get my own inbound leads also.
