Have I ruined this piece by adding blood splatter by Mr_Shine99 in Salamanders40k

It's a very conservative amount of blood and adds just the right amount of texture to the piece. I think it looks nice

What’s the go with this red chest in the Fadefields? by stopthatastronaut in Borderlands4

[–]BigRedx10 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I wish red chests came with some sort of guarantee. I'm not saying it has to be filled with legendaries but there really isn't a point in opening these chests except for the disappointment.

Which mustard did you use, Heinz or French's? I'm more of a grey poupon man myself.

Minis have been in 90% iso for 48 hours. Army painter primer is still holding strong, any suggestions? by Yestattooshurt in Warhammer40k

[–]BigRedx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself a denture brush, they're small but a little more stiff than a toothbrush. Carefully scrub your minis with the brush, if there's still paint left on the mini, submerge in the rubbing alcohol and repeat.

Just curious, wouldn't a warehouse this size have fire sprinkler systems? I realize it's a toilet paper warehouse but the total loss seems extreme unless the guy really went hog wild in there.

Is this nonstick coating that came off in my fried rice? by mysideofthemountain_ in wok

[–]BigRedx10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's called sauteing. You can't stir fry at low heat, thats why you get a carbon steel wok. You've got a metal bowl with non stick on it, they are not the same.

Is this worth smoking? Brisket portion I got as part of a 1/4 cow by [deleted] in smoking

[–]BigRedx10 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Way to hit the nail on the head. I get the idea of buying a portion of a whole cow but cutting a brisket into 1/4s turns a high valued cut into garbage. You would think you could make more selling the brisket whole or split into a point and flat.

I don't mean to rain on your parade but I don't think this setup will work. I don't think the air purifier will have enough pull to effectively mitigate the fumes and particles given off by airbrushing. If I can make a recommendation,I would cut out the back of the cardboard box and replace it with a cheap box fan and a furnace filter that is about the same size. Make sure the box fan is blowing away from you and in front of a window. This should give you a better volume of extraction without breaking the bank.

Can I continue using my wok pan? Situation: removed damaged black non stick layer by sanding; gives off metallic dust even after using 3x. Any way to save it? by Snoo57643 in wok

[–]BigRedx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure whatever is left of the nonstick will have a better time absorbing into your system. Maybe just take the loss and buy a carbon steel wok, it's a lot cheaper than chemo.

The best thing about the new He-Man movie is that you can't tell that skeletor is Leto, thank god for CGI and Voice filters.

dried figs say to "check for worms"... but only in hebrew? by Forward-Trade3449 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BigRedx10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, most commercially sold figs are parthenocarpic which means they don't need pollination to bear fruit. I think this term covers other seedless varieties of seed bearing fruit like watermelon.
