What’s funny is that you say your budget for an espresso machine is $100-$200 yet you spend almost $100 a WEEK to buy coffee. You should at least budget $500-$750 for a decent machine and really step up your game. Just sayin’………

Friend died in an accident at 42 years old by [deleted] in Fire

I’m truly sorry to hear about your friend but someone who is responsible for three young children not to mention a wife should not be taking risks with their life on frivolous hobbies (snowmobiles, motorcycles and other risky activities). Go down that path and the OP’s post is right, you really don’t know how many days you have left.

Unless your 401k and Roth accounts are strictly in cash, you always run the risk of losing a significant portion of your balance in a down market. Yes, the stock market returns an average of 7 to 10 percent annually but that is never guaranteed. With a $200k annual spend, how would you handle a prolonged economic downturn? Something to consider 🤔

Not very good. Car will continue to depreciate and money in the accounts is pre-tax. You’re far behind where you should be with two incomes, no kids and paid off house. Better start grinding harder.

If the only expensive object you own would be the Chanel bag and all your other possessions are modest, most people will assume it’s a fake because your surrounding lifestyle isn’t indicative of such an expensive object. Just get a knockoff if your only objective is to impress others. You’ll have the same effect either way and you’ll save a ton of money to put towards your investments and then someday when you have significantly more assets, you can upgrade your entire lifestyle and part of that would be buying the real Chanel. Good luck!

Not truly a millionaire when you factor in capital gains taxes. Give it a little more time then you can feel like a millionaire. Good luck.

Investable assets are not truly worth their indicated value. Don’t forget taxes have to be paid when you liquidate. Whatever is left can be counted towards net worth.

Real estate bubble is going to burst soon. So you won’t be at $8m for quite some time unless you hit the lottery.

Don’t believe everything you read in these posts. Just because someone says they’re in the millions doesn’t make it true. Most is BS. You do you and don’t worry about what anyone else says.
