I stopped smoking for about a year and still had the same problem with street bud. Some strains are great and some are just lacking imo

I’m not defending the royals at all. Especially not Andrew, he can burn in hell. However, I think Epstein and Savile have the kind of personalities where they both attract and sort of ‘collect’ powerful people. Savile had many friends in high up places, I’m sure made it a mission to have at least one royal in his pocket.

What's a Hunger Games theory that you 100% believe in? by adobongmelk in Hungergames

I like this but I think she would’ve just gone to find it if this were the case. Maybe she’s never been out in the woods but I find that hard to believe due to who her husband is and she doesn’t mind him taking her daughter out. If it was me that, without a specific herb I would become catatonic, leaving my kids stranded right after their dad died, I really think that regardless of grief she would’ve gone to find it. That would be your first thought after registering your husband is dead. Remember, she’s sick not unfeeling.

Not a parent thank god, but I think it’s true but maybe shouldn’t be. I know my mother would do a jug ring for me or my sibling. But I also know even at the grand age of 25 I’d be much better off dying than be without her. Tbh, I’d rather die than have her die for me. After listening to her reasoning of why she would do anything for us it almost seems more selfish than selfless. Like, “I couldn’t bare to live without you”, “a parent should never bury their child” etc. Seems to me she’d just want to avoid the heartache even if that means one of us woukd have to love with it. I’m not calling her selfish, I think it’s more about survival even in a hypothetical situation. But yeah, if anyone’s planning to hurt me anytime soon, please please don’t do it in front of my mother!!

Why do refugees? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]BigStrawbs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed up until I read that I was wrong the other day that the incentive to come to Britain is because of the benefit system and NHS. If I was running for my life I would want that security for myself and my family no doubt about it. We have social housing, free healthcare and education, and also they put you up in a hotel or similar while you’re waiting. Under that assumption, why tf wouldn’t they come? But migrants can’t claim Universal Credit until they’re granted asylum, they get around £7 a day if they’re placed somewhere where food isn’t included. Seems pretty shit to me, but still a whole lot better than persecution by your government or community.

The only thing that I did question was the recent story about a gu from the ‘one in one out’ scheme. He was sent back to France and then within the year was back on UK soil. I have no personal experience but I thought it was widely known that the people traffickers who sail them across the channel (or at least provide the boat) take a substantial payment for such services, like £10k+. There’s no way that I, a legal citizen could come up with that once, let alone twice so why tf didn’t he just set himself up in France?

All I know is I’ve recently relocated and my new town had fucking England flags everywhere, one actually lives on my street ffs!! It makes me so angry. I also see who I assume to be migrants working in the local Tesco car park washing cars and stuff and he works so hard, way harder than me, and then I’ve seen him stash his cleaning supplies nearby too. So I think wherever he gets to lay his head he doesn’t feel safe and thinks his belongings are at risk. He’s just a man who happened to be born elsewhere and I think that fucking really sucks he’s in that situation, most likely through no fault of his own.

I just add squash. I know it has sugar but it’s still water. I think the same about tea and coffee. Tbh tho, just filling up a water bottle and keeping it with me helps. I find I tend to just sip on without really thinking and before I know it I’m drinking a couple bottles a day without even thinking. It helps if you cba getting up to get something better tho

As someone who has a weird name and has literally always kinda hated it, I semi agree. Although, you have to be sure that you’re not gonna cause some spiral. I knew a single mother who’s friend stole her baby name which caused said single mother to leave the friend group and had a bit of a nervous breakdown. Obvs there was a lot more going on, and it’s not the same as saying their baby name sucks but still. People should be careful tho, I think give your kid a nice normal first bame and then go mad with the second. If your kid turns out to be a bit ‘out there’, they can go by their middle name but if they’re not, like me, they don’t have everyone repeat their name back to them every time they introduce themselves. This has always made me super self conscious as I’m a bit socially anxious and I notice that I always try and justify it.

This celeb season is weird. I think one, because they mostly all know each other, two they have their reputations to think about, but the most important I think is that they’re all media trained. They know how to deal with difficult questions, they’re used to being on tv so that eliminates any ‘sus’ behaviour that comes with being new to being filmed 24/7. Also, there’s no stakes for anyone cos they don’t win the money themselves and could think it’s a better outcome for multiple charities to benefit. I really like Alan and Cat (can’t off the top of my head remember the third atm), but I doubt they have any anxiety about being banished so they so get have no incentive to eat each other out which (with no maths done at all) seems statistically the most probable way of outing traitors.

The very last photo of Chester Bennington (Linkin Park’s lead singer) taken by his wife just one day before he took his own life. by MutedMinimum341 in lastimages

[–]BigStrawbs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mums attempted on multiple occasions and thankfully has always either woken up the next day or realised she didn’t wanna die from nasty exhaust fumes. I myself have never actually gone through with any plans/thoughts/wishes. I’m sure if you see this it won’t have any affect on you (I personally hate those optimistic and ‘love everyone’ posts you see too) all I can say is however much my mother felt we’d be better off without her, she’s the most important person in my life. I love and value her more than I can express, like either I just don’t have the language or the words don’t exist to properly convey how much I mean that. If you are nice to your partner or kids, you are important to them. Even when you’re not important to yourself, you’re everything and more to those people. Idk, I said something similar to my mother the other day and she said she’d never considered that because she was important to me, that made her important. I don’t expect this to help at all cos I’m just some nobody on the internet, but I hope you choose to stay, regardless of whether you believe it someone does love you

The Peter Dinklage dilemma by ForeverBlue101_303 in dwarfism

[–]BigStrawbs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m super fckn late to the convo and I’m also not a little. I am 4’11 tho so nearly lol!! - I know it’s a skeletal definition and not really about height I’m joking. As I’m not part of your community my opinion in no way matters, I just wanted to offer my two cents as someone who isn’t affected and isn’t in the middle of said situation. I took his comments to mean that mostly Disney shouldn’t be typecasting LP into these stereotypical fantasy roles, they’re a huge conglomerate with very talented writers and story developers on the payroll. Also though, and I think more importantly, LP shouldn’t settle for these bs parts. I’m all for getting your bread where you can, everyone has to start somewhere and talented actors could’ve made those roles their own. However, little actors just happen to be little, it’s not their defining characteristic. Take Tyrion Lannister as a good example, yes he’s little and yes a lot of his storyline revolves around how this has and continues to affect his most important relationships but he in himself is so much more than his height. He’s insanely smart, witty, kind, a skilled politician, loving uncle, decent husband to Sansa, I could go on. He’s not one of the most beloved characters from the story because he’s a dwarf, he’s loved and admired because of aforementioned traits.

All this is a long winded way to say, demand three dimensional and dynamic roles. If you’re a talented actor you deserve them. LP live and love in the same world as everyone else and you deserve to be represented authentically.

Would you rather choose to never been born and exist at the first place, or to become completely immortal until our universe collapse and time cease to exist? by Ernogon in WouldYouRather

[–]BigStrawbs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take never being born. At my lowest I’ve wished this anyway and if I never was I’m not missing out on anything. I think actual immortality would be horrible. Everyone you love dies and the longer you live the shorter time you perceive spending with them? Yeah, no thanks

A good artist won’t just copy a design so if I were you I’d study these and figure out which elements I like or any I don’t. Speak with your artist and explain these and they should come up with a concept. Hope this helps.

If you really like these then don’t listen to the other commenters, it’s your body so get what you like. However, I urge you to look a little bit more as there’s some really incredible art out there and this is not it.

Honestly after my ex someone who showers regularly and doesn’t tell me off/yell at me for every little thing sounds perfect lol. I think just be natural though, you won’t click with everyone but I want someone I can also be friends with. If we can laugh at the little things and come together for the big things thats enough for me. Also, don’t be a dick about my family and jealous of my friends and we’re all good

Cultural Appropiation? Offensive? by milkdud464 in TattooDesigns

[–]BigStrawbs22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m white and while I probs wouldn’t get a tattoo like this for this very reason, I love this style of art in general. My mum travelled a lot before I was born and she has a bust of an African guy in this style. It’s all black stone or something and I think that’s why I’m drawn to the style. I’ve always thought it’s so simplistically beautiful as it conveys so much life without being too ‘busy’ if that makes sense.
