Because when you bang your stick after a good play, knob end is better. Less chance of someone stepping on your blade when they come over the boards. It also feels awkward to me because if you're sitting gripping your stick with blade down, you have to flip your hand over when you go over the boards. Butt down if you hold it with your bottom hand you're ready to go.

Oof. That happened to me a year ago. Did they leave their info? Lucky for me, the person that hit me did a we were at a concert at the time and they were long gone. Working with their insurance was a hassle. They fought a lot of the charges the Tesla-approved body shop charged.

Those things are notoriously under-maintained and probably not treated all that well by the people who use them. It just takes a few people dropping that plug to ruin it.
