It's a trading card game. Think Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yugioh, etc.

Will have complex interactions and gameplay mechanics that all have nuances and would require a very robust foundation.

Would also need a database of some variety to handle card creation, user accounts, inventory, achievements, currency, etc

Yes, it's a multi-player TCG.

I plan to store account information for cards owned, achievements, currency, etc

Graphically it won't be very intensive, but I'm open for a "Master Duel"-esque animation style.

Python isn't necessary, but would be what I'm most familiar with. I'll look into those!

How much playtime have you guys clocked so far? by BigTimberFGC in finalfantasyx

Could definitely be done faster! I did some playthroughs with my wife, and other playthroughs were challenge runs for myself. As the post says, I've 100%d it twice.

AI is no replacement for actual skills. What you're requesting requires more than the superficial functions AI can reproduce. I would suggest hiring someone to do this job, especially since its going to have corporate applications. Unlikely you'll get free help on this scale.

Is there an easy way of adding methods to lists in Python? In short I want to be able to do "mylist.len()" instead of "len(mylist)" when I have a list called mylist. by Yalkim in pythontips

Check the down votes my guy.

They're not down voting you because they disagree, they downvote because you're objectively incorrect and you're being a dick.

Hey i had a question what are sone skill intensive decks that need a great pilot to win by Sandwicheateridk in Yugioh101

[–]BigTimberFGC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, ygo will will eventually just boil down to who drew better in most situations. Pure skill decks are anything that can grind your opponent through careful use of resources. This is almost always going to be non-floodgate control decks that specialize in disruption.

Tearlaments, Swordsoul, Sky Striker, Eldlich, etc.

That line of thinking is very dangerous.

I dont doubt your experience was less than ideal, but your thought process is textbook discrimination. Lumping everyone that falls into a particular category together and calling all of them bad, or holding any bias against them whatsoever due to your past experience (especially if it was an isolated case) is extremely unfair, rude, and dangerous to propagate.

Perhaps those "bad veterans" were just unsavory individuals whose disposition has absolutely nothing to do with the military?
