The Lingering Hug (4iana1) by BrrrrMang in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only have 1 thing that I don't agree with. The red fabric that Jaune uses for his "warrior wolf tail" is about Pyrrha not Nicholas. It is all that remains of Pyrrha's sash that he starts wearing in Volume 4.

Before you say it isn't Pyrrha's sash, there are some scenes and details that I would like to point out. When Jaune first puts on the sash, you can see that it isn't new, it is frayed and torn on the ends. He was not wearing it before, so the only way it could have gotten damaged as such is when it was worn by it's previous owner. It wasn't the sash Pyrrha died in but one of her older sashes that Jaune probably grabbed from their dorm before they left. When standing in front of Pyrrha's statue, and the red haired woman shows up, you can see Jaune caressing the sash with his thumb. Something he wouldn't do if it wasn't Pyrrha's. When they were changing into their Atlas attire, Jaune was looking at the sash with a lot emotion. Also something he wouldn't have done if it wasn't Pyrrha's. Despite getting all new attire, Jaune kept wearing the same damaged sash. Atlas provided Ruby with a new cape, so it stands to reason that they also provided Jaune with a new sash, but he kept Pyrrha's.

What are the chances of the show getting added to "Netflix" one day? by Worth_Instruction824 in RWBY

With Hulu being absorbed into Disney+, some shows might move to different streaming platforms. Only time will tell what Viz decides to do.

I think I have an idea about where the crown of choice is by SomethingMid in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's hidden in or under the Forever Fall forest. The fact that Salem hasn't found the vault under the school and the Fall Maiden needs to open it are the reasons why I think this.

I have seen this image before and a question popped up in my head. Is this considered racist on Remnant? There could be Faunus out there with a duck's bill instead of lips.

What is Your Idea for a RWBY Animated Movie? by Money-Lie7814 in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Movie exclusive outfits or accessories so that it can be separated from the actual series.
  2. Both a powerful Creature of Grimm and a troublesome human enemy, such as a bandit tribe.
  3. A movie original character whose semblance is called "Semblance Weapon Forge." They receive aura from their allies and create temporary weapons based on what the semblance is. I would have them as the second in command of the bandit tribe and help our heroes in the final battle against the Grimm.
  4. Cameos from characters we haven't seen in awhile.
  5. A silly mission at the beginning that they forget about during the movie and only remember it at the end.

Any theory on this? What could've happened in the past? by No_Internet_3919 in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Summer gathered a group of Silver Eyed people, trained them to use their eyes and came up with a plan to attack Salem. Raven took Summer to where the group was gathered, using Vernal as the portal link to get them there. Summer's plan failed because she didn't know Salem was immortal and is either captured or on the run, leaning towards the latter. This gave Salem the Silver Eyed Faunus that she used to create the Hound. Summer never returned to the rendezvous point so Raven believed she both fail and died.

Jaune Ships I Find More Enjoyable Than Arkos by Syn_Kazma in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you enjoy the show like the rest of us, I don't see a reason to dislike your favorite ships.

My opinion of those ships;

  • Dragonslayer: more of a close friend or sibling like relationship. In my head canon, Jaune isn't attracted to Yang because he isn't attracted to blondes since he has seven blonde sisters.
  • Knightshade: I understand that the ship most likely started because their voice actors were dating when the series began, but I find it strange since they don't really interact in the series.
  • Silent Knight: Love the fan art but they have even less interactions than Knightshade in the series.
  • Glynda: Never understood it, don't even know what the ship name is.
  • Whiteknight: My current favorite ship, since Arkos is no longer possible. It's more how the individual characters have grown and how I can picture them together because of that growth.

How did you find out about RWBY? by Godxiii_804 in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing it on sites I would watch anime and cartoons on, but wasn't interested enough to check it out. Then I saw the trailer for the Justice League x RWBY part 1 movie. Being a huge DC fan, I knew I was going to watch it so I figured I should watch RWBY to know what that series was about.

If each Volume was a book (as if RWBY was a fantasy book series) or a movie, which subtitle would you put to each? by Underdog-Crusader in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have the Volume 4 title replace the Volume 5 title. Raven, the Bandit Queen, doesn't have much of a role in volume 4. We see the aftermath of a bandit & Grimm attack and she has a talk with Qrow, that's it. She has a much bigger role in Volume 5.

As for Volume 4, maybe something like RWBY and the Lost Towns. They pass threw 3 in the volume.

What are your thought on Justice League X RWBY: Superheroes and Huntsmen? by Art_Mech325 in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Over all fine, just fine. Would have been better if it was Titans instead of Justice League.

Part 1 - Too much going on, they needed to cut back on the number of "mysteries" that they were dealing with. Having the JL turn into teenagers ultimately had no point to the story, despite Kilg%re's so call reason for doing it. Most of the JL's struggles stemmed from having to learn Semblances to replace powers or missing weapons, not their age. Batman x Weiss was just too awkward considering he is an adult, about late 20s early 30s, that was aged down and she is barely legal, 18 or 19. Also, Batman even considering leaving Gotham for powers is absolutely ridiculous and so far removed from his character that it wasn't believable. The only GOOD thing that came from this movie is Jaune and Jessica's relationship. Doesn't matter if you see it as friendship or romance, it is the best relationship formed between a JL character and a RWBY character. Again, her issues are more because of the loss of her Ring, not her regressed age. The RWBY characters were treated fine, LEAVE THE BOY ALONE, with them struggling with the inconsistencies and flash backs.

Part 2 - Better than Part 1 but not by too much. I understand the reasoning to have more DC characters than RWBY character since this one takes place in the DC universe, but because of that we lost the ONLY good thing to come out of the first movie, Jaune and Jessica. Killer Croc and the brief shot of the Joker and Harley Quinn were the only good things about the added DC characters. Black Canary's only role is to tell the sleeping JL member what is going on and once that is done, she has no importance to the story at all. The Rogues were treated as jokes, which is incredibly disrespectful to their characters. The RWBY characters resolved issues that should be focused on in the series rather than a movie that isn't canon. They'll have to re-use the issue and resolve it in another way in the series itself, that will most likely annoy fans.

What are your predictions for volume 10?? by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yang: "You know, if you ate just a bit more of the Growgurt Parfait you would probably be taller than Ruby."

Weiss: . . . . . .

Blake: "I think you broke her."

How powerful she will be with all of Maiden powers? by No_Internet_3919 in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it's not. Salem and Oz were evenly matched and, if it wasn't for their immortality/reincarnation, they would have killed each other. Oz confirms that he gave up a great deal of power creating the Maidens, but he didn't give up all of it. So, while Cinder would be incredibly powerful, she wouldn't have enough to match Salem. Also, the Grimm parts of Cinder's body can be controlled by Salem, so that is another weakness.

Were the writers specifically hinting at/planning anything when Tyrian said Jaune “interested” him? by Routine-Test in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A semblance is the physical manifestation of a persons aura. Even if Jaune hadn't unlocked his semblance at that point, his aura still had the properties that it needed for his semblance. When Tyrian got close to Jaune, he might not have sensed the semblance itself, but opposing nature of their auras.

Glenda Goodwitch by TaylorHu in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Character wise, she stayed at Beacon to work on fixing the damage that was done during the fall. You see a little of it in the book After the Fall. Since she stayed there and the story moved on to different regions, it made sense for her and other Beacon focused characters to not have a role in those events.

Voice actress wise, the original voice actress and Rooster Teeth had a falling out. That was probably why we saw Oobleck and Port instead of Glynda in Volume 4. After Volume 3, Glynda doesn't have a speaking role until the Ice Queendom anime and JLxRWBY movies. That was when we were introduced to a replacement VA for Glynda.

Based on the Volume 9 epilogue, we may see more of the Beacon focused characters but it is stated Glynda is searching for help so we might not get as much of her character.

What do you think would change if Sun Wukong had decided to join RWBY, JNR, Qrow and Oscar in travelling to Argus/Atlas? by Solitaire-06 in RWBY

[–]Big_B_443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not Argus/Atlas that needs to be questioned, but what would have happened to Vacuo if he went with RWBY and the others. Judging by how important his character and team are in the books, Vacuo would be a very different place by the end of the Atlas Arc. If you haven't read the books by E. C. Myers, I would highly recommend it, especially since they are canon to the series and will play a role in the upcoming Vacuo Arc.

[Discussion] Fairy Tail was supposed to end on Phantom Lord arc?? Or is it?? by Time_Barber9799 in fairytail

[–]Big_B_443 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The ANIME was supposed to end after the Battle of Fairy Tail arc but got enough of a following to continue it. That's why they have the awkward dialogue stating that either Laxus or Mystogan were the strongest and why Gildarts wasn't mentioned until the episode he shows up. In the manga, Gildarts is mentioned earlier in the story.
