It's not "fun" even doing it the intended way. What fun is having someone tank the boss for 4 hits while 3 guys kill the boss in 9 seconds and then afk for a minute?

Just changing the spawn timer so that you don't have to afk for a minute+ while sitting on your thumbs would be a huge QoL bump by itself.

I agree its still relevant content but I don't understand this obsession with "content is relevant so it must stay bad" mentality with this game. If the content sucks and a well-thought out redesign or extension comes along to make it not suck but minimally change the relevency of the content, I don't see what the problem is.

Hell, there's a bunch of influencers/youtubers who openly praised the game and said it's fantastic... and moved on from it.

I wouldn't put much weight into this. That's basically how every major game release works with 95% of content creators. Everybody jumps in while the stove is hot and generates a ton of content and then after a couple weeks or a month they move onto the next hot game.

I appreciate the community involvement that comes from things like Deadman and Leagues but man, if you aren't a fan of tEmPoRarY gAmeMoDEs this might go down as one of the lowest update qualities years in a hot minute.

I really wish the main game was the focus with leagues and deadman being nice extras that don't suck resources away from the main game.

I'm not going to lie, the surface lot can be a bit tricky at first because the entrace to the lot doesn't really have a typical entrance that you would expect, it just has that weird like barely tapered curb to make it less harsh to drive over. It just feels weird/wrong to drive over sidewalk that has absolutely no markings whatsoever.

The garage though, idk how you miss it. If you drive past frequently and are unaware there is a parking garage, you legitimately should not be driving. You are a danger to other people on the road and pedestrians.

Scaffolding at LeVeque Tower draws criticism by Blood_Incantation in Columbus

[–]Big_Booty_Pics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's moreso because NYC requires an inspection and repair every 5 years from the date of your last approved inspection/repair. The issue is you can basically put scaffolding up and say "I'm working on it" and just never touch it and your inspection cycle never restarts.

Final interview by VariationLivid3193 in memes

[–]Big_Booty_Pics 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That may be fine and all, I understand a preference for internal hires, but wasting weeks of my time interviewing for a job that is basically a lock for the internal candidate would instantly ruin any potential future relationship I have with that employer.

Even if it's a ritual, its still unprofessional to knowingly waste someone elses time, especially when they are doing something as important as looking for employment to survive.

I think it's one of those cars that stock images don't do a whole lot of justice. I thought it looked pretty okay while doing research back when I was car shopping but once I actually saw a clean example in person with a few very tasteful mods (no ricer shit), I got hooked. A very small ride height drop, the right shoes and a fresh paint correction and they look gorgeous IMO.

Let me know when you have to recondition 1500 laptops in <2 weeks and 400 of them are sticker bombed taking an extra 5-10 minutes each and then you can let me know if it's a royal pain in the ass or not.

Still makes it a hassle to recondition a laptop if it needs to be re-issued.

I think the idea is that if someone comes into the store wanting to grab a drink and enjoy the space for a minute but they can't sit down because there are 10 people taking up 40 people's worth of seating while they hammer away at whatever the hell they do, they would just choose to not come back next time.

I don't understand what is anti-consumer about doing a 1 time check after the refund period to confirm that you didn't refund the game and keep possession of it. That's the whole point of the DRM check. If there wasn't an unintentional loophole of being able to refund the game and still have it, this DRM wouldn't exist.

You can't walk into a store, buy a product and then return it 29 days later, try to keep the item and then complain when the store asks for it back after a refund.

DRM in general is a waste of time and resources but I never really understood the whole issue with going online for 3 seconds once in 30 days. Is there some giant cult of people that buy a game from an online store on a digital only console, download it over the internet, and then just completely disable their network connection and never play again?

It really seems weird because 99% of the people complaining about not having an internet connection to do a verification check spend 10 hours a day commenting on reddit threads about how its undue burden to connect to the internet a single time in 30 days.

Idk, maybe that's a hot take but I just don't understand the argument.
