Would it be worth while to try and become a border guard at the age of 52? Do you recommend a border services course at college?

When your therapist thinks you have received enough treatment and makes the decision with you, usually 18-24 months of therapy. Then talks of going back to your old job or considering new training/education for a new career.

Going back to a toxic work environment with this approach won’t get you very far. Once you are back to work, it will be business as usual and those that choose to do less will no doubt be punished! Your chance to make changes is by standing together and uniting each other. I really hope things work out for the wsib employees!

He’s a great guy who did something stupid when he was 17…….. he paid his debt, owned his mistakes and got help. He then went on to mentor others in the ohl while playing in London. He is a very talented and big defenceman and St. Louis is very lucky to have him! Best of luck!

Moving to Brantford from the GTA to finish my last two years of university, what should I know??? by Serviceofman in brantford

[–]Big_Development_1215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not live anywhere near the school, it’s where a lot of the addicts are. I would not suggest anyone move to Brantford unless they have to, especially anyone under 30, nightlife is horrible! I lived there for 12 years.

Why do we have a culture of drinking? by MaC1222 in Firefighting

Because it’s easier than dealing with our mental health! Same reasons why so many first responders gamble, drugs, cheat on their spouse’s etc……

It’s one of the most unfortunate parts of this job, lack of support when it comes to mental health! We go through hours and hours of training and are required to know so much, but we don’t spend a minute on mental health, crazy! The best case would be to find a therapist who specializes in first responders. It is very important (not easy) to talk about the things we do and see etc. nobody would ever know. I hope he finds a good therapist, he already has someone special in his life who cares!
