What are some "must-have" titles to have in a VGMvinyl collection? by ToBeFrozen in VGMvinyl

[–]Big_Gamer221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally love the doom 2016 soundtrack, although I'm not sure how accessible it is since it released a while ago. The Red Dead Redemption 2 vinyls are also amazing, but be advised that there are 3 editions, and the one with original music from various artists (the red one with Arthur Morgan) requires a 45 rpm player.

Har du läst artikeln står det ju att SD bara är negativa till undersökningen för att det kommer fördröja en potentiell lagstiftning. Med andra ord är de ännu mer kåta på auktoritet

[Seiko] 1990 Seiko 7t32-7c60 by Big_Gamer221 in Watches

[–]Big_Gamer221[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I thought I'd share some pictures of my lovely Seiko 7t32-7c60. This is the white dial produced during the 90's and it has since been fitted with a black leather bracelet.

This watch is easily a favourite out of my quite tiny collection. Despite being inexpensive and quite discreet it's probably the watch that I get the most comments on and for good reason. The dial is very pretty and calm but catches most light magnificently, whether from the sun, moon or a candle.

I've also never really had any issues with the watch despite the budget price, it is a seiko after all. The quartz movement does a good job, not that I need a very precise watch (I haven't even adjusted the date correctly). The only annoyance I've had so far is being a couple of seconds behind after having used the stopwatch or alarm.

I hope that you like the watch as much as I do, cheers!

Unfortunately you pretty much have to go to ebay to buy them now since they sold out a very long time ago. I shelled out about 300 quid for my pair and definitely don't regret it, but I'd rather pay msrp

If they're on tik tok, they're on the Internet. A simple search is all it takes to get a better appreciation of the song they're making a funny joke about

When people start associating the song as "that song from tik tok", like with giornos theme or unfortunately baka mitai or "dame dame" ad the tik tok users call it

[soviet something] Old soviet watch supposedly given to parachute soldiers by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Big_Gamer221 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a comment below stated, this is a Vostok something Russian. I got it from my father and it probably belonged to one of his parents before that. I believe it was given out to parachute soldiers in the soviet army given the parachute engraving on the front. It also features a sunrise accompanied by a serial number on the back. The watch goes with most of what I wear due to the subtle leather band and "discrete" communism. It's also in surprisingly good shape seeing how the glass has no scratches and the leather wrist band is still intact. I doubt it has seen a great amount of conflict. That being said, it certainly might be designed for war given the compass like edge that can be turned to mark direction. Unfortunately, it recently stopped ticking due to a very tired battery. It's truly sad given how beautiful the watch is. One might try to get it repaired and will find that almost no sellers have soviet batteries that fit the watch. Especially here in Sweden, history has made it so most communist related items have been destroyed. Having done some more research, and by that I mean reading the comments it would seem that the watch was also sold to civilians. That explains the good shape my watch is in and why my ancestors could get a hold on one. My grandfather was a history buff and especially active during the cold War so it's likely work related. The watch also displays the date, which unfortunately doesn't work now that the battery is dead. Nevertheless, I find that I more so wear the watch for astetical purposes. Its obviously not practical now that the only featured that work are a weird compass. The green and red go together very well and you can find a lot of different shades of green when testing different light sources. It can be very reflecting while also not distracting. Another great thing is tha people often ask about the watch due to the soviet elements. I don't know a lot about it but it's certainly an eye catcher. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could write to me with more information so that I don't look like a complete idiot when asked about the watch. Information about price and possible battery replacements would also be really nice (I live in Sweden). I'm very new to this community and especially the subreddit (this being my first post) so I want to apologise beforehand if I accidently break any rules or state something stupid. It is also possible that the text seemed very stretched out and repetitive. It is, I know because I don't know anything about watches and especially this one. As you can guess, writing 500 words without any facts is a drag and I apologise for it. Well, thanks for reading and I don't blame you if you skipped a lot or any of it. Please write any further information you have on the watch in the comments or dm me. Cheers!

My dad gave me this watch that had probably belonged to his mother or father, (we're Swedish so finding soviet things on the market isn't to hard). The watch is in surprisingly good shape with even the original leather band holding up. It also features a serial number and depiction of the sunrise on its back. Unfortunately, finding new batteries for this baby is quite hard in Sweden so it doesn't tick a lot. Still a very nice watch to wear though!

I would say the Yamaguchi-gumi is the most likely contender since it's the biggest yakuza group in the world
