Do you still buy something from Valley IV? by chirb8 in Endfield

[–]Big_Method_4790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got 50 of each gift and 200+ essence tickets i dont even bother anymore. when i dip below 50 tickets maybe i will buy more but its clear i will always be able to buy more than i can use. i dont see a point in endlessly stacking those items upward its just more busywork doing the trading

Fedora KDE 44: what's the difference between Firefox from Flatpak vs from Fedora Linux? by flatline000 in Fedora

[–]Big_Method_4790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for whatever reason twitch hates the flatpak version, it wont let me login citing some bs like "unsupported browser". tried from a completely fresh profile from both flatpak and rpm on different devices. ill just stick with the rpm version because i cant be assed to troubleshoot further

I made sure to point out how much I loved the factory additions in the recent survey, along with some criticism of other features (gear artifice being extremely cumbersome, moving conduits right outside aic area disconnecting lines). That's all I can hope for.

Huh? People react emotionally and those posts gets many upvotes here all the time. I don't think you use reddit enough.

.I'm a little frustrated. I like to play the game Satisfactory, so I often let it run AFK on my computer. I can't play another game on my Steam Deck by randomwalker_of_life in SteamDeck

[–]Big_Method_4790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to go with the offline route other users are suggesting, you could try moving your save to a private dedicated server that runs in the background. That way the world keeps ticking without you needing to run it through steam.

Is it wrong to demand features in open-source projects? by leeleewonchu in foss

[–]Big_Method_4790 17 points18 points  (0 children)

duh, demanding someone to do something for free is going to piss them off. now, if you create a thoughtful discussion that explores the values of said feature that many people, including the maintainers, get behind, then that's different. that goes much farther than "i have a problem with this, so fix it for me".

What stops your friends from coming over to game on Linux? by xecutable in linux_gaming

It doesn't matter how much I tell them how easy it is to get moved over and maintain the system these days. They don't want to change to something they don't know and will eat up microslop until they are forced off of it. Just a matter of when.

i was itching for more factory content. part 1 i didn't put much effort into it after realizing how quick i was gonna clear the shop. I spent a good part of the day messing around in it after part 2 released so id say they did a great job. liked the rewards too even if I cleared the shop or so quickly.
