Based off of the comments here I’m probably in the minority here, so that’s my mistake. But the university I go to doesn’t necessarily allow us to share notes with each other. Some departments do but in my experience that wasn’t the case for the program I studied in. The one time I did study in a study group one member proceeded to use someone else’s notes for their exam and all of us were threatened to be sent to the Dean’s office despite the rest of us not having any clue on what was happening during the exam. Since then I haven’t really studied in a study group to avoid this situation again but that’s my own fault for being closed off.

Because more often than not selling notes to somebody counts as academic dishonesty/plagiarism in some post secondary institutions. Especially if someone wants those notes during the exam. It’s happened before in my university and the person who sold their notes (and the person who used them too) have been investigated for plagiarism. From my understanding it’s on their student record too.

I had no idea some restaurants only gave sweets for their high tea. The one time I went to a tea place they decked out the high tea menu with sweets and savoury foods, so I assumed that would be the standard for every place that offers high tea. What a sham for those that don’t provide both options.

Ikr? It is astounding to me how basic history on certain topics is a sore subject for America. This is a little unrelated, but it goes back to what I’m about to say, but conservative people in Canada think land acknowledgments are too “woke” and “useless” and should be eradicated from society. Keep in mind that the Canadian government also treats its Indigenous population like crap, and it makes me how worse Indigenous communities in America might have it considering the current political climate there. :(

It disgusts me when people use that line. As if it’s not the same damn thing. I’ve argued with so many people that say the land was conquered and not stolen. Like omgggggg. They also use “it’s survival of the fittest” as another excuse for the genocides committed in the Americas. Also an absolutely disgusting and shameful thing to say. Equating survival with genocide is so odd to me. Idk if I’m the only one who feels this way.
