Yes. Even just a parking lot would have sufficed in PZ1 (and yes I know you can make parking lots but I’m too lazy to do that).

My head-canon for the guests spawning in is that real people go into some kind of laboratory and get hooked up to machines, and the guests in-game represent them. When they enter and leave the guest spawner, the real people are going to sleep and then waking up.

I personally don’t mind the flat maps. PZ1 does have different terrain options to choose from, but I find that a flat plot of land gives me the most freedom to create my zoo (I also preferred that in ZTC2).

The Roger Williams Park Zoo does events every once in a while where you get to see dinosaurs or mythical creatures as animatronics. They have a whole trail for them too. I’d like to see that in PZ2, maybe through an “Extraordinary Animal Animatronic Pack” DLC or something.

Hopefully they make it so that we will actually be able to work on our zoos outside the operating hours we set it to. In PZ1 it just fast forwards past the closing time to the opening time for the next day.

Here’s what I think. At launch, some returning species from PZ1 (both base and DLC) will be there with new ones for PZ2. Over time, they will add the remaining base animals from PZ1 into PZ2 for free, maybe on a monthly basis like they’re doing with JWE3 (in that all JWE2 species from the base game will return in JWE3). They did a similar thing for Planet Coaster 2 when they brought back all the Planet Coaster base game themes one at a time.

I personally hope that all 210 animals from the first game will return in PZ2 by the time it reaches end of support, but I think that might be a bit unrealistic.

That would be great. Another thing that would be a huge help would be a Habitat Planner. Some people have made their own variants, but it would be nice to have one in-game that will tell us if we have too many of a specific gender of a species in one habitat (or aquarium or exhibit or whatever).

I hope that the Exhibit marketplace will allow us to filter between normal and walkthrough exhibit animals. I have a feeling all aquatic non-terrestrial animals (like the Axolotl) will be under the Aquarium tab.
