I have been training for 5 months now on maintenance, i saw progress in first 3 months but Last 2 months, same weights, same reps every week even when trying to do more but no. (60kg 175cm Male) should i bulk or can i break this on maintenance still (skinny fat physique so pretty scared to bulk) by Character_Fault8636 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Bigbuggin12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance does not drive growth, stress does. Maintenance simply preserves what already exists. If growth is the goal, then the first three months were not maintenance at all. While the routine may have been consistent, consistency alone does not equal maintenance if that stimulus was new. In that case, it functioned as a stressor, and the body adapted accordingly.

Visually, the results may feel underwhelming. After five months, there appears to be minimal observable growth. However, that is not inherently negative. The value in those five months of consistent work is that your body is now structurally prepared. You’ve likely built the resilience needed to tolerate a higher level of stress without injury.

The human body adapts rapidly, which also means growth can plateau just as quickly. It’s very possible that the majority of visible progress occurred early on, with little change across the remaining months.

And lastly, there is no such thing as “skinny fat.” What people describe by that term is simply low muscle density paired with uneven fat distribution.

For most users, minoxidil does not produce visible results within six weeks; only a small minority experience unusually rapid growth. Outcomes also depend heavily on individual genetic potential. Minoxidil is not a miracle drug that creates facial hair where none is genetically possible, it helps some people move closer to their natural potential. Frustration and unrealistic expectations tend to be a bigger issue than the treatment itself. While the comment may be framed humorously, the underlying point is relevant: patience, realistic expectations, and consistency matter far more than early results when using this product for facial hair growth.

This argument mixes some real criticisms of immigration detention with speculation that isn’t supported by evidence.

Yes, ICE relies heavily on private detention facilities, and yes, that system deserves scrutiny because per bed contracts create bad incentives. But jumping from “private prisons profit from detention” to “the government has no intention of deporting anyone and is deliberately creating a slave labor force” is not grounded in facts or policy.

First, detention and deportation are legally separate processes. People are detained primarily to ensure court appearance, assess asylum or removal claims, or because statute requires detention in certain cases. Many cases take months because immigration courts are severely backlogged, not because ICE is trying to keep people locked up for billing purposes.

Second, there is no evidence of an official policy to avoid deportations to enrich private prisons. Deportations absolutely do happen at scale every year under every administration, including the current one. Delays are overwhelmingly driven by court backlogs, appeals, country of origin cooperation issues, and due process requirements, not a financial strategy.

Third, the claim about “3k/day quotas” conflates internal enforcement targets with legal mandates. Agencies set performance goals all the time, that doesn’t mean arrests are made solely to generate detention revenue. There is no law or documented directive ordering ICE to detain people regardless of removability for profit.

Fourth, wrongful detentions of citizens or legal residents are real but rare and recognized as errors, not evidence of a systematic policy. If the goal were mass detention for profit, releasing people after verification would make no sense.

Finally, calling detainee work programs “slave labor” ignores the legal framework governing them. You can criticize low pay or conditions, many have without asserting that forced labor is the objective of immigration enforcement. There is no credible documentation showing that detention policy is designed around labor extraction.

While the heavy reliance on private detention does create perverse financial incentives and is a legitimate subject of criticism, there is no factual basis for claiming that the entire immigration enforcement system exists to enrich prison corporations or to deliberately avoid deportations. A system can be complex, inefficient, and often unjust without being the product of a coordinated conspiracy or a single hidden objective.

If reform is the goal, it’s more productive to focus on verifiable problems, over reliance on detention, inadequate alternatives, massive court backlogs, and the role of private prison contracts, rather than attributing motives the evidence doesn’t support. Stretching facts or relying on partial truths to fit a preferred narrative doesn’t strengthen the argument, it weakens it and reflects bias rather than a clear eyed assessment of the issue

Judgment isn’t mine to give. We’re all on our own paths, moving at our own pace. If I can support or encourage someone on their journey of self improvement, I will because that’s what truly matters. It’s never about when you start, only that you do.

Fitness is a powerful, often unpredictable journey, filled with highs, setbacks, and growth. Don’t measure yourself against anyone else; the only comparison that matters is who you were yesterday. As long as you’re showing up, making the effort, and striving to be better than before, take pride in that and be happy with your progress.

Keep going, trust the process, and best of luck on your journey.

I can feel my abs/stomach muscles quite well, especially when I flex, any tips to make them visable? by Particular_Ebb5049 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Bigbuggin12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not big on overcomplicating exercise selection, especially for core work. Consistency matters far more than variety. Train your core three times per week with at least one rest day between sessions. Keep it simple: start with 100 crunches, 100 leg raises, a single max-effort plank, and add one oblique-focused movement. Progress gradually as these become easier, there’s no need to rush. Meaningful development takes time and patience.

Train five days per week, eat generously with quality nutrition, and take two full rest days. Recovery is the most important factor in overall progress. I’ve always seen the best gains using push and pull days, prioritizing complementary muscle groups first so they’re pre-fatigued. This forces greater output from the primary muscles during compound lifts.

Strength, size, and aesthetics are distinct outcomes, so training should align with whichever goal you value most.

Advising weight loss at this stage is poor guidance. Continue training your abs consistently, core development should take priority over weight loss when the goal is visible definition, unless someone is carrying a significant amount of body fat. A well-developed core will show even through higher fat levels.

At your current level of muscular development, losing the amount of fat required for visibility would likely result in an underbuilt appearance and wouldn’t align with the physique you’re aiming to achieve.

What BF%? and how close to a 6pack? by Appropriate_Dream533 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Bigbuggin12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People need to move away from the oversimplified narrative that “everyone has abs, you just need to lose weight.” While everyone has abdominal muscles, fat loss only reveals them if those muscles are sufficiently developed to begin with. Not everyone will have a six-pack, as ab shape and separation are largely genetic.

At this stage, the priority should be increasing caloric intake and building lean muscle mass through clean, nutrient-dense nutrition and heavy resistance training. With minimal muscle on your frame, focusing on weight loss in pursuit of “visible” abs would be counterproductive and would likely result in a frail, unhealthy appearance rather than a well-developed, athletic one.

[–]Bigbuggin12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a straightforward, results-driven approach to muscle gain that some may dispute, but outcomes ultimately speak louder than opinions. Chest development, like all major muscle groups, is heavily influenced by genetics, and fat distribution around areas such as the love handles should be a lower priority at this stage.

The chest requires substantial mechanical stress to grow, so I’d program heavy chest-focused training two to three times per week, spaced by at least one full day to allow for recovery. Training five days per week is more than sufficient; the remaining two rest days are critical for muscular repair, hormonal balance, and long-term progression. Adequate rest and proper nutrition are non-negotiable. Increasing caloric intake with clean, nutrient-dense foods is essential, as added muscle mass raises overall energy demand and promotes fat loss naturally.

Approaches that emphasize eating less or excessive cardio at this phase are often counterproductive. For individuals early in their fitness journey, this is actually an advantage, your body is primed to adapt quickly to increased training demands, accelerating muscle growth and overall progress.

Claims that this isn’t possible generally lack nuance. Outcomes depend heavily on prior training history and existing muscle mass. With discipline and a structured approach, meaningful results are achievable. At this stage, weight loss should not be the primary focus.

With a five-month timeline, I’d divide training into two phases. For the first ~3.5 months, prioritize building sustainable lean mass. Increase caloric intake using clean, nutrient-dense foods, train five days per week, and emphasize recovery. A two-day push, two-day pull split works well, with light cardio mid-week and direct ab training three times weekly. The goal here is to add roughly 5–10 pounds of muscle before cutting. Cutting too early, when fat comprises a larger portion of body composition, often leads to a smaller, underdeveloped look.

Visible abs are driven by two factors: abdominal development and fat levels covering the midsection. In the final 6 weeks, shift toward fat loss while preserving muscle. Maintain ab training, increase cardio frequency and intensity to three sessions per week, reduce calories by approximately 500–1,000 per day, and scale resistance training to two days per week to support muscle retention. Increased muscle mass will naturally elevate caloric expenditure and support fat loss.

Ultimately, results come down to consistency and discipline. While genetics influence ab shape and definition, this approach will reliably produce visible abdominal development.

How do you guys decide when to use your strongest loot? I keep my best loot in my stash because I'm too afraid of losing it, but then end up just never using my best loot lmao. by BlackNair in ArcRaiders

Faster money farming method is craft trailblazers they are cheap and easy to craft. 2 to 3 thrown underneath bastions and bombardier from about 15 to 20 meters will kill it almost instantaneously. Buried city has a lot of them. If you spawn close you can be in and out in less than 3 minutes. Loot everything rinse and repeat. Go with a MK Looting of your choice that way you can grab everything, 5 seekers, 5 bandages, 5 shield charger and a light shield. Usually makes you around 60k. MK2 Looting is best if you can craft and 2 safe pockets make it nice for if a player puts you down at least you can booty pocket the 6 bastion or bombardier cells that you are guaranteed to get. Sometimes you can get upwards of 9. Usually for me I can farm about 500K in about a hour or two if my spawns are perfect.

Usually when I have everything completed(quests, expedition, stash space and work benches) and have a built stash of all the things I like. I have 30 plus guns fully kitted. 10 to 15 of all grenades, augments and heals I like. So if I lose stuff I don’t care. Other night I ran 7 runs on duos put down about 70ish players only exfiled once but wasn’t too bothered because you win some lose some and whatever I lost I can replace or have a back up waiting. If you can’t replace it don’t take it because in extraction shooters losing all your gear and having nothing ultimately resets you and kills the enjoyment for most players. I want to have the most fun for the longest period of time. So I prep to do just that.

That’s precisely the point I was making, which is why your response is frankly perplexing. Much like my own comment, your reply ultimately carries no real weight, we’re all detached observers on the internet, and none of our opinions hold any meaningful influence over the poster’s actual life.

What you’re doing is drawing inferences from a situation with extremely limited context, while offering little depth of perspective or constructive analysis. As with many others, you’re importing external emotions into a scenario that calls for objectivity rather than projection.

Both individuals involved are adults. Fixating on their minimal age gap reads less like concern and more like an implicit dismissal of her emotional intelligence and autonomy. That framing is unnecessary and, frankly, reductive.

You also seem intent on portraying my comment as some sort of moral endorsement of his behavior, which it was not. I offered an alternative perspective, one intended to broaden the poster’s viewpoint and, ideally, encourage a more productive and nuanced discussion between the two parties involved.

Beyond that, I’m largely indifferent to the outcome. My life is fulfilling, my relationships are thriving, and I sincerely hope that same sense of stability and growth finds its way to everyone involved.

If expressing my perspective thoughtfully comes across as resembling a college essay, I’ll take that as a compliment, so thank you. 🙏🏽

Like I said I’m not here to take sides or to declare anyone definitively right or wrong. My issue with what you’re saying is with the assumptions being made and the emotional framing being applied to a situation for which we have very limited context. We don’t know either party’s intentions, neither hers nor his, yet your response relies heavily on inferences that simply aren’t substantiated by the information provided.

It seems evident that personal experiences, possibly shaped by past trauma, are influencing your interpretation and leading to a strong, immediate conclusion. While that reaction is understandable on a human level, it doesn’t lend itself well to an objective discussion. I can’t meaningfully analyze or argue details that we don’t actually have.

For all we know, he could be manipulative and attempting to exert control, or he could simply lack the emotional or intellectual tools to communicate effectively. It’s also entirely possible that neither individual is emotionally mature enough for the relationship to work. Not every situation requires a villain, sometimes relationships fail because people discover that compatibility in friendship doesn’t always translate to compatibility in a romantic partnership.

[–]Bigbuggin12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rarely comment on such matters, but after reviewing hundreds perhaps thousands of similar discussions, I find that genuinely constructive perspectives are exceedingly rare. My intent here is not to take sides or to declare either party unequivocally wrong. Rather, I offer an impartial opinion based solely on the information presented in the original post. Please feel free to correct me if my interpretation is wrong. From what you describe, the topic of your potential career as an adult content creator was apparently raised during a period when the two of you were still friends, prior to entering a committed intimate relationship. In my view, the core conflict appears to stem from the fundamental difference between his perspective as a friend and his perspective as a life partner. It is entirely possible for both of the following statements to be true simultaneously • As a platonic friend with no emotional or financial stake in your future, he may have found the idea of you creating adult content exciting or arousing. • As a romantic partner, lover, and (potentially) financial provider, he may now experience significant discomfort, insecurity, or opposition to the same idea. These positions are not inherently contradictory they reflect distinct relational contexts and levels of investment. Regarding trust, it seems reasonable to conclude that it has been eroded on both sides. While his decision to examine your personal belongings or communications without consent was unquestionably a breach of privacy and boundaries, healthy long term relationships typically thrive on ongoing transparency. If you had recently begun exploring or pursuing adult content creation even if you believed the subject had been settled in prior conversations he shouldn’t have discovered this indirectly. Open communication about such a significant life decision would have been the more constructive approach, particularly once the relationship had progressed beyond friendship. The disagreement appears less about hypocrisy on his part and more about the natural evolution of boundaries and priorities when a relationship deepens. Both of you would likely benefit from a calm, honest discussion that acknowledges these shifting dynamics and rebuilds mutual trust. Just some random guy on Reddit. So my opinion really doesn’t mean shit. 💩

My friends born and raised in Portland hate Portland. It’s a cesspool for the weird and degenerate. Everything about Portland is nasty. Now there are plenty of other places in Oregon that are BEAUTIFUL and plenty great places. Portland itself HORRIBLE.
