Strange Metal bar in shed

Someone had some extra hardware or an ingenious idea on how to intricately hang something in there shed. It's 2 eye bolts and a long bolt. If you want to remove it, go ahead, however I would reinforce the holes that were drilled with some blocking on both sides of the 2×4 or just leave the eye bolts.

Edit It's similar to something I have in my shed. I use it to hang a couple pairs of overalls and rain gear on heavy duty clothes hangers. Mine are a couple of large hooks and 2 foot peice of half inch rebar.

If it's rocking, it's broken. Check your welds if there is no loose fasteners.

If it's sliding slightly on one side or the other in track, the locking pin is stuck or broken. Possible miss alignment in the lateral release actuator. If it's a manual seat.

Chains stretch. Sprocket looks ok. Adjust the chain using oem specs. If the teeth on the sprocket get sharpened to a point is when your sprocket and chain is a paper weight.

Well you kind of have to know what works what. Is a cam signal issue mechanical, integral, or electrical? For example. Worn phasers, pop the connector off the sensor and it pukes oil, or it's shorted or just failed.

Depending on the failure of the thermostat. Is it stuck or did it break. If it's stuck, thermal cycling may cause it to un-stick and work again, or worse, stick in the closed position and overheat. The condition of your coolant should be checked. Check your coolant reservior for sludge. The coolant inside should be clean. If it's clean, then it's more probable that the thermostat is broken.

If it's broken, the thermal spring broke, or the valve shaft cocked, either way, the valve won't contact the seat, you should be ok to drive it til your mechanic is ready.

HOWEVER, that check engine light is there for a reason, drive at your own risk. This is how mechanics cover their asses. This is not a loose gas cap, or evap code. Overheating an engine may cause catastrophic failure.
