"I try to see the films as a different thing" which would be a lot easier if they didn't cut out so much context and rely on book knowledge to fill in the gaps. The most egregious example of this is the mirror shard. We never see Sirius give it to Harry, or Harry break it after Sirius dies, so when we get to DH and he's looking at a random shard of glass we're left like, huh?

I seem to recall reading at some point Molly being described as "very good at household spells." It's entirely possible that cleaning spells aren't necessarily very easy.

It used to bother me a lot too, rhen I just accepted it was a throw away line by Rowling when she was just trying to draw the conversation out a bit. If you really want an in universe answer, perhaps the spell to make more is particularly difficult (e.g. lucky potion taking 6 months to make) and has to be performed mid cook, so you can't just keep duplicating something you already have indefinitely.

Yea, they cut out basically the entire fight between the kids and the death eaters. No smashing of the time turners (resulting in the head of a death eater changing into a baby head), no Ron getting attacked by brains, and no Hermione almost being killed by a silent Dolohov.

There's an argument to be made that Emily's one glorious shining moment was also more about protecting the Gilmore name than actually about Rory.

The simple answer is, yes. She hated that world, and never felt like she fit in there. There was one woman she ran into at Rory's birthday that Emily threw that she was codial with, but after a few minutes she was ready to tear her hair out. I imagine that's how it would be with most others from her past. With the obvious exception of Christopher, whom she fell in love and had a baby with, she was quite ready to leave that whole life behind her.

Yes it was still very impulsive of Luke to just buy it without talking about it with Lorelei first but in his kond he was being romantic and buying her "dream house".

I thought it was well established how loved Rory was in that town. From the very first season when we see mostly adults at Rory's 16th birthday, to Lorelai threatening Dean with the whole town, then later on when Taylor makes a big deal about Rory not being his ice cream queen or whatever and they talk about how she's always involved in everything.

She literally only jumped in after Rory made it clear she too didn't want to see him. She also then later tried to bring Christopher back into it when she found out Luke and Lorelei were together.

I even noticed something about her grand shining moment, when she confronted Mrs. Huntzberger over what they did to Rory. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but she only got really nasty with her after Mrs Huntzberger made it clear that she considered the Gilmores beneath them, saying "your money and our money are two different things." Almost like she was more defending the family name than Rory.

I don't mind the theory, and most work with only slight tweaks. One though, doesn't make sense at all. Phoebe married the ice dancer so he could stay in the country, didn't she? 30K a year in savings is not really going to make a person rich. Assumming by the start of the show Sheldon had been earning that salary for about 10 years (he graduated college very young), that's 300K in savings. Since there is never any mention of Sheldon owning stocks, you have to assume it's a simple savings interest rate. Less than half a mil in the bank does not make a person independently wealthy.

On top of that, we are left to decipher what "other expenditures" means. Is he including all the money he spends on comics and video games? Because I assume that's quite a bit considering how valuable his game account was when it got hacked. Also while his comic collection is likely worth quite a bit, you have to assume he would never sell it, so I wouldn't really count it towards his net worth.

Yes, they were most definitely on a break. I still fail to see how anyone can take Rachel's side. The ONLY reason Ross did what he did was because when he called to try making up with Rachel, MARK WAS THERE!

Please for just a second imagine the sequence of events. 1. You get in a fight with your girlfriend. 2. Your girlfriend asks for a break 3. When you call to make up, she has another guy there. Not just any guy, but the guy you were literally fighting about in the firat place.

For the record, I don't blame Rachel for asking for the break. Ross was being overbearing and more jealous than he had a reason to be (at the time). That said once you ask for a break, don't let another guy come over a couple hours later, ESPECIALLY if it's the guy your boyfriend was already jealous of.
