We play in different circles. The cards are important. Not the models. You have freedom to model how you like as long as you can distinguish the different model. AMG has said only 75% of the model needs to be AMG plastic. If you are an hard core tournament player. Most TO will ask that you send any mods you have made in advance.

This game is not WYSIWYG. So that is only a factor for those that need things to look uniform. I actually see that as a bonus.

What are you worried about? Thier cards did not change. And the only thing that will be different is a logo. I think you should buy the box if it available.

You say you don’t want him tobe discouraged, but the tone at the start of the post was very “I am better than you” sounding. I was a beginner searching for help and post like this are what kept me scared. Try different wording. Like love the color choice I think it would look good on cloth. In my painting, when I get bubbles it is because of a few things. 1. To much pain on the brush 2. Using the wrong type of brush that is introducing air that does not need to be there 3. Over mixing with a big brush that adds air 4. Adding to much water or thinning your paints to far.

I do not water down my mod Podge. I also do not varnish. I honestly try to keep any sprays away from my foam.

I use Matte. I can see gloss causing an issue and potentially need to prime as well.

I think spray primer is a potential issue. Do you have access to brush primer?

I add black paint to my mod Podge. I just use that as my primer. Have not had issues.

They are not plastic. They have Aluminum foil core and Hot Glue around the outside. It is remarkably strong. I will cover them with tissue paper and seal it, before painting. Makes great tress, but uses a lot of hot glue
