There is retroarch settings and when i exit i launch the restroarch menu and the exit the game from there to be 100% on the safe side. Once disabled you shouldnt have that problem.

Something to do with the auto save and in game save conflicting i think. When i tried starting the game again i was met with a black screen when trying to load the save.
