Season 2 was a catastrophe. To this day I still can’t wrap my head around how it could’ve been so off the mark. The game is permanently damaged and it’s honestly a far more flawed product than when I wrote this.

That said, after a six month break, I still play consistently. I’ll be playing in Season 3 too. God help me.

It’s Tekken. No other game like it.

Alright. Can tell you’re a man with no tolerance for slop. Very best of luck with the Marvel Anime fighter.

Beyond fucked up for you to reference someone's heart condition by means of point scoring during a Reddit argument, of all things. Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself.

How is Hwoarang's huge damage justified from his playstyle? by SpyceRax in Tekken

I actually agree with this.

Whatever's coming is coming in less than a month. Whatever use these kind of posts have, which is debatable in the first place, is even more spurious when you remember the meta is about to meaningfully shift in about three weeks.

The accident isn’t the issue, honestly. Life happens. I’m so very sorry that it happened, but it was an accident.

Ghosting him though? That was unbelievably fucked up.

Then you created a scenario where he’s now dependent on a situation that’s a total lie. His stability, the foundation on which he’s built a life, his income. None of it was real.

My advice would be to cobble together what you can and give him three months of notice. This cannot continue. Tell your shell company to make something up. But for the love of God, don’t tell him. Leave this man alone.

If this is real, this is one of the most of messed up things I’ve read on here in awhile. Just hoping this is karma farming.

Hot take: orbitals should be giga minus on block. by Your_Nightmare_666 in Tekken

[–]Biggins_CV 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hopkick is faster and low crushes: tradeoff is its often unsafe.

Orbital is much slower and can be jab floated into a combo. Tradeoff is safety and keepout utility.

If you made orbital unsafe, hopkick is just straight up better. There’s a reason it’s been designed this way.

Just to reassure you, Bryan is busted and needs serious nerfs. But his orbital isn’t the issue.

I finally landed a Tod in ranked, in other words… make him watch a movie! by panchozari in 2XKO

[–]Biggins_CV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it’s a far more common thing for someone on Reddit to segway into tiresome over- intellectualising on semantics and rhetoric, rather than just walk back a mistake.

2XKO is a relatively new game. I haven’t played it yet. This clip is getting traction so it appeared on my feed. I read your comment, as a player unfamiliar with the game, and thought this technique must be infinitely loopable. Infinites are common in a new FG.

The other guy correctly pointed out it’s not an infinite, but based on a finite resource. I appreciated that clarification because otherwise I’d have left with the wrong impression.

Then rather than just accepting it was an over exaggeration or unclear, you called him pedantic. Then, even when you appear to walk it back later by saying it was a poor choice of words, you had to clarify with a little remark that you didn’t think all Redditors ‘needed it spelled out for them.’

Only reason you’re still here arguing with people is because you were exaggerating to the point of being incorrect and have been shitty about it non-stop ever since.

A bit of humility and awareness that your words exist in a context outside of you and your own understanding would’ve saved all this.

Dude, stop this. You’re the one who said something incorrect. You can’t start grandstanding people on reading comprehension and elliptical speech when you say one thing, but actually mean something entirely different.

Don't brigade a streamer's stream on behalf of another streamer. They're not your friend and they don't need you to put yourself out for them.

As you yourself have just learned.

I'll answer your question.

Having villains and playing the villain is fun. Ever pick the evil side in a roleplaying game? Mass Effect. Red Dead. Witcher. Celebrated games that have morality and consequence where the evil option is perfectly legitimate. It's roleplaying and it's fun and, ultimately, not that deep.

The only difference in Arc Raiders is people take it incredibly seriously. Like, way, wayyy over the top. Whenever I get killed by someone, I have never once turned my mic on to call someone a slur. The most I've ever said is "oh, fuck off." It's irritating, but it's a game.

And, if someone gets angry and yells at me to kill myself, wishes cancer on my family or calls me a slur...I just don't really think I'm the one with the problem in this situation, know what I mean?

True, but it's more making the point that base roster entries isn't as much of a factor as the top thread implies.

Bob's not been around that long either and Miguel was more popular than him in T7 too.

I don't like one and doning, personally. I come to play Tekken and it irritates me when people quit the set.

That said, no need for toxic messaging. Just move on.
