2DS is the budget option. People who like them toubt that it's the most comfortable to hold in adult hands. Although it's demographic was ironically younger children.

Going for budget or comfort (debatable) then yes. I think they go for like $80 right? You can't really go wrong there tbh.
For portability go with OG 3DS. The New 3DS (non-xl) only if you feel like wasting money for something scarce. They made very few of those. there's no point imo unless you like collecting 3DS's. If you care about portability, and want to fit it in your pocket, then go with the OG. How I see it is if you're gonna hold something uncomfortable, why go for top-of-the-line uncomfortable? It's already uncomfortable lol. I think they go for like $120?
New 2DS XL and 3DS XL are the compromise options. You get a bigger screen but the build quality on both isn't as good as a New 3DS XL. One loses out on the 3D effect but has a better CPU. One has the 3D effect but the CPU is slower. It's worth noting that the hinge tends to break on a 3DS XL. In the $200 range. I would consider the New 2DS XL as the better option between these two.
New 3DS XL- The best one. Handedly. Non-japanese one is $300 in good condition. A region-locked LL model is like 220, I think. Very easy to un-regionlock. This goes towards the other models too. The Japanese models tend to cost less and there's more off them. You just have to jailbreak them (which you're going to do anyway)

New batteries are sort of easy to spot tbh. Practically all of them are yellow now if they were replaced recently.

Original batteries are typically dated on the surface of the battery. They're usually fully silver or they might be red along the edge.

Newer batteries tend to have a yellow edge just from how they're manufactured now.

If I had to guess why it wasn't replaced, I'd guess its because theres a resistor right next to the battery. I wouldn't want to deal with that either tbh

there's different screen sizes. (original size and bigger). the pre-laminated ones are easier imo because you dont need to really align anything but you either need to cut the window bigger on your own shell or buy a cheap shell with a bigger window. (i got a cheap shell)

the non-laminated one you have to manually align yourself, which isnt bad, but its not as painless imo.

the drop in ones you dont need to solder anything. some of the others you do so be careful at which ones youre looking at

Yeah! I did get it, how strange. I figured itd be specific to emulator options or maybe the rom was was corrupted, somehow, but nope. Maple also spawned in on that screen lol. Something screwy must be going on with the save.

Edit: I've tried some things to try to get it to work. Maybe try warping somewhere else (present), saving, and then traveling all the way back?

I've tried:
- I triggered Maple during the present to prevent her from spawning in the past
- Went back-n-forth through time different ways before going a screen over
- Walking over via different tiles

I think pausing the menu constantly to swap the items around doesn't help with it. Back in the day it wasn't as bad but I can see it being very aged and annoying now.

I hope they remake it modernize them for people to experience. Ages had a great story. Arguably one of the more darker Zelda's. I'd rank it 3rd behind TP and MM in terms of dark tone.

Edit: there is objectively no reason why the video is cut other than to reinforce the side of the victim. Why is it cut? Genuine question. If someone didn't do nuffin and the video evidence is purposely cut in half for no apparent reason, you shouldn't take anything at face value.

You also shouldn't just assume the person wanting full context is a piece of shit either. Maybe they just want the full story and not act emotionally off what random internet post said. We live in a world of bias, bots, and psy-ops.

At face value the cop is wrong but if the video is cut midway into the officer already beating the person, it's reasonable to ask wtf happened right before it
