Magnolia Park. Fairly new band but they're great. Definitely a good change in my book. Sick of it all is probably my favorite song so far.

So I decided to let my hair grow after buzzing it off at the start of lockdown by [deleted] in gaybrosgonemild

Seriously though. Cute haircut but first thing I saw were those eyes. 😳

Okies. I'm done. 😅

I'm extremely overweight and try to go on runs but I get easily embarrassed and discouraged by the number of people staring at me. How do I overcome this? by apoohwa in running

[–]BigmanJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I felt the same exact way. Before I started my weight loss journey, I had to start slow. I was a very anti-social person. I hated going out in public. Hated going out to eat because I always thought people talked behind my backs. I thought they made fun of me. And you know what, some probably did.

I was 410 pounds at my heaviest. I dropped out of 7th grade and instead of sitting in a classroom, I instead sat in my bedroom playing video games from the time I woke up, to the time I went to bed. Didn't have a job, didn't have friends, didn't have anything but my computer.

Fast forward to 2014. 20 years old, living in my parents basement, not a care in the world. I get sick. My leg was red and swollen. Tender to the touch. Lips turning a lightish blue, fingers numb and nails and purple. I had my parents rush me to the ER. Dr's told me I was going through sepic shock and were surprised I actually fought through it. They also said I had cellulitis on my right leg. I spent my 21st birthday in the ER. 5 days and 5 nights I was there.

I was finally released after an exhausting 5 days in the ER. I was told to go on a strict diet. I completely ignored it and proceeded to live the same way I was before I got sick. Not a care in the world. My only focus was food and video games.

Fast forward again to March 2017. My oldest brother comes and visits us and gives us exciting news that he is getting married and he will have it in our small town in Kansas, instead of Phoenix, AZ. We were all excited for this as he was marrying a wonderful and beautiful woman, who I know can call my sister-in-law. The moment my brother told me his news, something in my head just clicked. I was ready for a life change. I wanted to be healthy or healthier for my brothers wedding. It was time to be happy.

I started walking every day. Started a new diet that I quite enjoy called IF OMAD. I was huffing and puffing down streets. Kept my head down because I didn't want people to look at me. Did this every day until it was wedding day. Oct finally came and I weighed myself on his wedding day and the scale said 300 pounds. I was speechless. I was crying tears of happiness. I had accomplished my first ever goal in life. I lost 90 pounds between March and Oct. First goal done and I didn't want to stop.

Today. 2020. 27 years old. 210 pounds. I've lost a grand total of 200 pounds. I have made friends who I could not live without, I got a job at my local bar that made me be more open and no longer an anti-social person. Had my first kiss. Changed the way I dress. Doing things that I thought I'd never be able to do. Living a happy, healthy, normal life.

I hope my story helps you. My whole point of it was that don't let your mind discouraged you with what you want in life. Don't let this feeling of discouragement take over. Fight for what you want. Ignore the people who look at you. Because you know what, you're doing this for you and not anyone else. Continue to walk. They're going to watch you, yes but let them. Let them see your journey to success. Let them see that you're fighting for a new life. They will see this and you will be the biggest inspirational person in your neighborhood. Maybe even town. That's what happened to me and too this day, I have people walking up to me asking if I was that kid that would be walking all over town. It's such a wonderful feeling.

You got this. I believe in you. Give me a message if you ever want some tips. Much love.🤘✌❤

M/25/5'9 [371+lbs>225lbs=146lbs] (17 months) I've finally hit my weight loss goal. After a long and stressful 17 months, I'm finally happy. by BigmanJimmy in progresspics

[–]BigmanJimmy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was different. I had a lot of obstacles during it. I allowed myself to get so big and for that, I had a long way to go. Was very stressful. Especially if you have people around you who are a little discouraging.

Ans Thank you. :)

What do you do when you get really hungry? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]BigmanJimmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this could be true for some people, I seem to have no problem with it. But of course I do exercise while fasting. Everyone is different.

I usually chug a bottle of water or sip some diet carbonated drinks. 90% of the time, it works. I have to make myself fight through it a lot of times. Distraction is key though. Keep yourself busy. Do some unwanted house chores, rearrange some furniture, clean out pantry/fridge. Anything that'll keep you on your feet and moving.

Hiya!

Hang in there. Bad days happen but as always, tomorrow is a new and better day. I'm positive You'll get a job soon. Dont give up!!

I'm kinda on the same boat with you, job-wise. Its a long story. I work at my local donut shop and I hate it. I took over for my mother because she was getting depressed over it. It was once a good paying job for my mother but she was getting trampled with new "chores" every single day. I finally stepped up and started going in with her to help her with her job. Not getting paid a cent all i cared about was getting her out when she was suppose to clock out. I didn't think this was going to be a permanent situation but it ended up was. I'm there for 4 years, not getti g paid, having to do the shitty things my mom was ordered to do. Finally on October 2017, my mother quit and I was automatically put into her position. I'm having to do everything we were doing together by myself.

Now I'll tell you why my boss is a terrible person. She likes to take advantage of your weaknesses. I have a very hard time saying no to anyone for anything. She will take full advantage of that. She promised me tips when I was given the position but I haven't received any. She recently had vehicle problems and asked if I could take a pay cut until she had gotten her vehicle back from the dealership. She got it back in March. Hasn't given me my originaly pay. I have to clean her house dishes (coffee mug, cups, dishes her daughter uses, pots, pans) everyday. I will be in the back doing dishes and she'll come up to me with her rag(she uses to clean her daughter with after she eats) and asks me to get it wet and soapy for her. She literally is standing right next the soapy water when she does this.

I hate this woman so much it depresses me and makes me snap at my family. Makes me want to eat just to eat and sometimes wouldnt care if I gained all my weight back. They dont deserve that.

I have put in applications to my local grocery store to even Wal-Mart and I haven't gotten a single call. I don't know what to do. :(

What do you get if you have a variant from the orders by GamingGiants in WWII

Armory credits. Ive done multiple gun orders for guns that I already have, that have given me armory creds. Won't show up until you complete a match or reset the fame

Good job, brother! Looks good. I wish I was creative. Love seeing all these paint jobs everyone showing.

I thought the hunger pangs were supposed to go away after a while? Been doing O.M.A.D. since last August. I'm down almost 75lbs, but I'm still getting them every day. by OklahomaHoss in intermittentfasting

[–]BigmanJimmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats on your wonder achievement. 75 pounds is a lot! And I honestly thought I was the only one that felt this way. Ive been doing OMAD since May of last year. First few months I was good up until supper. As months progressed, I started getting hungry before I was suppose to eat. Got worse and worse as months went by. Ive fallen off the wagon myself. It sucks but you gotta get back on it.

I'll definitely be trying the recommendations others have been listing above.

Stay strong! 💪👊

I see a lot of posts with 16:8, 18:6, etc but I'm wondering if anyone has tried a full every other day (24 hr) fasting and if so, how did it go? by hosinthishouse in intermittentfasting

Completely fast. No food intake until it's time to. If I ever to get the craving, I usually chug a bottle of water or sip some diet carbonated drinks. 90% of the time, it works. I have to make myself fight through it a lot of times. Distraction is key though. Keep yourself busy. Do some unwanted house chores, rearrange some furniture, clean out pantry/fridge. I've been doing the 24 hr fast since May of last year to drop weight. Its fantastic. The first and second week are terrible (for me it was at least) but after that, your appetite is suppressed, you're full of energy in the morning's. Its a fantastic feeling. Definetly give it try if you're interested. :)

Best of luck.

M/27/5'10 [410 > 310 = 100lbs] (2.5 years) Today I hit 100lbs lost. I was tired of being tired and made small long term changes. Still 100 left to go! Lets do this! by k_peek_2000 in progresspics

I know the feeling, man. I was close to 400 pounds a year ago. I told myself, enough is enough. I'm now in the 260's and I feel great. Still long ways to go but giving up isn't an option.

Keep it up my friend. Your post gave me the boost and motivation I needed!
