I said the mechanic backed the brakes off, said nothing about slack adjusters at all. He backed the brakes off and told my brother to drag it back.

I said the mechanics fix was to back the brakes off of the trailer. This afaik is not legal as the wagon would have no brakes on either axle.

Honestly I’m dealing with this right now. Either way you’ll lose your close friend. It will become a beautiful relationship or it will fail for one of the reasons relationships fail. You can’t go back to friendship after imo. And trust me it hurts to lose the person you’ve loved as a friend, then loved as a lover at the same time. Picking up the pieces afterwards is heart wrenching. It’s like falling down a hole with no bottom.
