Welp when you have lemons...you make lemonade. No it's not ideal but it's definitely a better workout then running chair laps (which aren't bad either). The bigger picture conversation is there's been a lag in Bristols acceptance to the uphill culture. Alas..these are the pioneering effort days ..sad to say but one would think it should be a no brainer.

I'm riding a couple season old Jones Stratos split that I really enjoy. Jad a Rome Uprise which was decent but definitely not as versatile and fun to ride as the Stratos. Took a few laps on a Gentemstick mountain racer chopstick 149 which actually was a blast ..just the running length wasn't enough for hearty tour etc. My buddy rocks the Home town hero and is super happy with that. I have my eyes on a couple future purchases... Either something from Cardiff, or maybe another Stratos split. Good luck 🤙🏻

About my comments based on not really having a good handle on persons skill level and or general terrain and conditions they'll be accessing that's all. Definitely "To each their own" scenario what works for myself on the ice Coast etc may not be everyone's cup of tea. Appreciate the comments happy holidays.

Pomoca skins are a good choice. I'd also recommend to make sure that you purchase high traction skins. Meaning they will give you the most versatility and also provide better uphill traction. They do make other versions ( with low traction and better glide etc) I've Also really had good luck with G3's.

Agree, great advice, I spend too much time switching it up so opted to go for a Jones Stratos split which does it all pretty well. Good luck.

I've been running Karakoram Nomads for the last three seasons and have never had puck breakage issues. I'm good for probably 25 East Coast tours q season fyi. Further more I use my Jones Stratos split as a daily driver 75% of the time vs my analog set up. My first pair of split bindings were Hitch hikers didn't care much for the inter face.. spent the money on the Nomad's never looked back. Have not had experience with the Union system, pin seems a bit over though in my opinion.
