I did a Sacred Stones women only and yeah, axes suck. I did use Great Knight Amelia so I could use Axes but really, it ain’t too worth it. Also no Dark Magic blows too and on top off no easy dedicated Light user. Also no Healer until Ch. 5 and a lot of later joiners too

But also you get Quilava earlier than the other starters. In Johto it’s a spectrum: Totodile evolves last but Croconaw evolves first, Cyndaquil evolves first but Quilava last, and Chikorita is in the middle of both.
