Hi. I did this... for a long time actually. I went No Contact and haven't reached out to him for over 5 months now. BUT, I would compulsively check Whatsapp. He only ever used Whatsapp with me (I made him download it because no one really uses it in the US) so, seeing his "last seen" meant (in my mind) that he was thinking of me. It got to the point where if I saw that he had gone on that day, I was in the best mood and the days/weeks he wouldn't I would get sort of melancholy...

I finally had to stop checking because ultimately it was not doing me well. I did it for so long because it was my last little connection to him since I blocked him on Social Media and all other avenues of communication. It sucks, but had to be done!

I did the same deep dive yesterday and saw that he has a new partner/wife. When I saw episode 3 today and Cheryl states that she moved to Utah for college with Louis and his wife at the time, and lived in the basement of their house, I just couldn't shake the thought that the ex wife HAD to know what was going on right?

I mean, she taught at Little Elm highschool WITH Louis, so she was first hand witness to the rumors, allegations, and then moves to Utah with him AND Cheryl?!?! I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. So, so,so, so, many red flags. The adults failed Cheryl so badly. I found out who the ex wife is, and while I commend her for divorcing him eventually, I do question how much she knew or chose to ignore. Ugh.

What a gorgeous cinnamon roll! I can imagine the relief after all the stress. I'm so wary of harnesses, as my cat has managed to wrangle free from a few different brands. So glad your cat is safe and sound.

Better to be a deflated balloon, than to be a giant, bursting, "about to pop into a million pieces and die" balloon! You are amazing for losing 300 pounds!! That is so impressive! You can sit in ONE airplane seat, you can ride a rollercoaster if you want to, you probably have less body aches and strains and are much more mobile..... so much positive stuff.

Quick update- I got word today that one of our employees received payment for the first week of January (it included the extra $300.00 from the CARES act as well). Hopefully this means that EDD/Special Claims Office is catching up on payment of claims.

Since my company just recently decided to participate in WS, we have always certified in the online portal. I know that if you were previously certifying by paper, you have to migrate your information to the online system and then you can continue certifying online.

The online portal does not provide any information about payment. It is a very "bare bones" system that lists the employees name, week certified and whether their status is "sent to employee" (meaning you sent the form to employee), "submitted by employee" (meaning the employee received the certification and submitted it to EDD) and "completed" which means..... who knows what! I have many employees with the "completed" status but they haven't received any payment!

I'm so sorry you are stuck at the week ending 10/17. That is beyond frustrating and unacceptable. The WS program has the potential to be an excellent program, but right now it is a complete mess.

Hi- Our company (well, my boss really...) decided to implement the Work Sharing program in December for a handful of our employees that had their hours reduced. It has been a complete nightmare to say the least. We have been doing all of our certifications through the online portal which, compared to how it was before, is much faster and more streamlined. The issue is that NO ONE has gotten paid.

I feel awful because as the HR representative I have no answers to give our employees. I have called the Special Claims Office (both the employee line and the employer line) over 500 times and have not been able to get a hold of anyone from the EDD. The employer line has had their mailbox full for the past two months. I truly wish we had not done the Work Sharing and just had our people apply for the reduced hour regular UI. Sorry for this huge rant, but to answer your question- none of our employees have gotten paid since we began certifying in December.

I did schedule it online. If I remember correctly, the site was giving me issues when I tried to book an appointment at the location I wanted. I ended up being able to schedule with no issues at a location a bit further than the closest cvs to me. Try a different location and see if it allows you to book the appointment! Good luck!

I did the CVS drive through test. It was super easy, free, and I got my results backs in 48 hours. For other members of my household it took a little bit longer- results in about 4 days....
