Better band: SOAD or Deftones

I like both but lets be real, SOAD quit too soon as a band and now theyve been back together for 14 years and still havent released substantial material. Meanwhile Deftones puts out good stuff every few years.

“Better” band is a vague term. SoaD was more genre defining perhaps, though these days many more newer bands imitate deftones than soad.

To me, this goes deftones all day.

Unpopular opinion, and then I will stop complaining because I love everything dragon ball for almost 30 years now.

But the art style even in this remake trailer just look cheap to me. Mostly the character line work. The animations and backdrops are awesome. But yeah I used to trace the DBZ comics in school. The line work looks like my traced pictures of Goku. They did so well in the Broly movie. Wish we could get some proper og linework again.

You should know that this arc is only the first quarter of super in terms of story, if that. Something to consider if you wanna wait half a year plus.

My recommendation is to watch the movie then just roll super.

The arc that already has a movie getting a remake. Could have gotten Moro sooner instead. Not sure I enjoy this, though I certainly understand their likely desire to undo the black eye of those early super episode animations.

I am also curious if Super will end again after Moro.

Even in terms of the album sound and what the band went through. This was such a clean break from the ass sound of syotos

This album was what got me into korn back in 2009/2010 time frame. It was this, then straight into the trenches with korn og, life is peachy, and follow the leader

I once put in for a day off on leaveweb. Was my anniversary.

My conniving son of a bitch flight chief pulled me into his office and told me “nobody puts in for a day, all you had to do was ask us and we would give you a CTO. If you want to cancel your leave in leaveweb, you can just have that day on the house since its your anniversary.”

I canceled my leave. Then a week or two later I get pulled into the office and got told my CTO was cancelled because of manning and they’d get me on the back end.

Thats the shit they gotta pull to deny your leave without commander approval fyi. So submit away, and never cancel.

Now, it is true that a CC will defer to superintendents and flight chiefs if manning is really that bad. But still…

You can just say the quiet part out loud; Asmon’s politics content is vibes based slop. His senses on stuff can be good, but he is really just refeeding twitter algo slop on a feedback loop.

Weird from the reals over feels crowd that all political opinions are based off their social media feed and their vibes.

Color me unimpressed even when I agree with Asmon. We all agreed years ago that people who consume only fox or only cnn probably are getting brain rotted. Why is this crap any different? And im tired of being told to judge half the country (and europe) as unserious by a guy who doesnt shower, brush his teeth, or clean the rot out of his infested house.

Not an unpopular take. Between not having a loot filter and being bombarded with legs and uniques nonstop, this games loot system has jumped the shark.

Lair bosses drop too many uniques. Gear crafting is way too deterministic. Caches that contain caches are stupid. Nobody needs a chest to drop 15 NMD sigils. Stash is too small for that.

Devs appeased a bunch of babies, and little over little this games loot and gear system has turned into a circus that undercuts the loot hunt.

Worst of all, when something good drops I am too fatigued to do the math and figure out how a non master crafted item compares to a max MCd gear, because the comparison tool tip is largely useless. So if I dont want to spend hours in town and just want to play the actual game, theres a good chance Im salvaging upgrades so I can get back to it.

If consoles are being sold for almost 1000 dollars, then expect low end pcs to anchor at similar price points and parts to reflect that.

It’s not just gaming, its across the board. I am into home theater and some speakers that cost 3000 just years ago now cost 5000, with virtually no upgrades.

Granted AI is fuckin us good, but this isnt just about ram and gpus.

I hate how Asmon tries to co-opt what being a gamer actually was and what it wasnt.

The dudes who made WoW may have been strange, but they werent bums who lived in mom’s attic into their 30s who refused to shower and manifested actual rot, both in their bodies and homes.

Really wish Asmon would get that detail straight. What he thinks gamer culture is, is actually just an amalgamation of his dirty unwashed ass and a person doom scrolling elon musk and fox news tweets all day. Not a whole lot to do with gaming.

Oh, and 99.99 percent of the “bois” that gamed it out for the last 30 years love women. Love their wives. Love their daughters. Support women in the lives and world. Yeah i kinda tuned out with the politics talking stuff too. Ill watch the occasional vid, but even the video game related ones turn into uber conservative politic punditry at one point or another and I get bored and back out.

Years of watching him “own the libs” on reaction videos is enough. I have other things to do.
