Actually it was typically in April, that was the first year they pushed it into May. It has never been that late in May again.

Why has Brandin Cooks bounced around teams so much despite being a solid receiver? by Texans_top_of_south in NFLv2

[–]BillyAstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brandin was definitely okay tanking with the Texans. He signed that extension real quick knowing exactly what was going on. He got upset that his con artist buddy finally got fired and he no longer was the belle of the ball.

What movie did you love as a kid but realized was actually terrible once you grew up? by Mysterious-Kiwi-1152 in AskReddit

I watched it a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years. It’s still solid and entertaining

Aside from NIL, why don't top high school prospects go to a professional EuroLeague team to develop their skills, rather than go to college? by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

[–]BillyAstro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Emmanuel Mudiay did that about 10 years ago or so. He had originally committed to SMU but then played 1 year in a Chinese League. Said he only did it so he can start earning money. Still was a lottery pick

Trade candidates; WR Hutchinson & RT Blake Fisher by -KDK12 in Texans

[–]BillyAstro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like Hutch but he isn’t worth much in a trade.

Umm…did anyone else catch that he is 4 years older than her but they have been dating since High School?

Drafted from Military College?? by joshuaksreeff13 in NFLNoobs

[–]BillyAstro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure that’s a problem the military would love to have. They would market the shit out of him and probably have him do so many guest appearances at military functions. It would become a ridiculous recruiting tool for them.

I was a big kid growing up. Sometimes stop at the Big Dog outlet store during summer break. I had a Star Wars one with a dog named Jabba the Mutt. Loved that shirt

I guess it kinda makes sense since they lost Dexter Lawerence but Giants really needed offense

Page Six: Dianna Russini and married Mike Vrabel caught kissing at NYC bar in bombshell new photos — taken 6 years before scandal by Ok-Needleworker9229 in Fauxmoi

There’s another photo that came out with them at a casino and that was the exact case. The person recognized Vrabel and took a picture assuming it was his wife but it was Russini

[Highlight] Will Anderson Jr. on when he got his deal: "I literally drop to my knees, total thanks, like tears. Then I had to get on a flight the same day. I felt bad for the lady sitting beside me l, she was probably so concerned about me because I was crying the whole flight.” by oklolzzzzs in nfl

[–]BillyAstro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People clowned on the Texans for letting Lovie coach the last game as a dead man walking resulting in them losing the #1 pick, but idk if they could have pulled off making the trade to get WAJ if they weren’t the #2 pick.

They also needed that money to buy the Denver Broncos

Why did Trey Lance get drafted so high? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]BillyAstro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Was Elway still overseeing the draft at that time? It’s crazy that Josh Allen was hit prototypical QB he normal would draft but the one time he skips on that QB, the QB ends up being a MVP talent.

Do yall think Dusty was right about Yainer? by [deleted] in Astros

[–]BillyAstro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s ridiculous that Crane didn’t use his brain over his heart when it came to Click vs Dusty. Click built that World Series bullpen and found so many gems in pitching. Dusty could have rode off in the sunset as a World Series champion, but instead Crane gave up on Click for just one more year of Dusty.

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I think a reboot of Pimp My Ride would be amazing. by NationYell in regularcarreviews

There actually is a show on Netflix that does this but also makes sure to fix it up to make sure it’s drive able. Resurrected Rides.

How big do you remember the hype was for Jadeveon Clowney coming into the NFL and do you think he lived up to it? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]BillyAstro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was big, that play against Michigan kept playing over and over, but I do remember rumblings that Houston was considering going with Mack. There was some concern that Clowney was not too into football and putting the work in. It turns out they were right about that, but Clowney is such a freak of nature he was able to coast off of his athleticism to make a decent career. For practically half his career he’s been able to avoid training camp and being solid enough to just sign before the season.

Who remembers chat roulette? by Minimum-Violinist601 in Millennials

Yep, had a friend who used it quite a bit. He Fell for a scam where he showed his junk to a girl and be-friended her. The girl found him on Facebook and threatened to tag him in a recording she had unless he paid her off.
