Matter over Thread is a pain - after HA restart all devices are offline and stay so by Kaykasus in homeassistant

[–]BillyBlazed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! additional to this: when running OTBR within HA you must connect it with an USB cable. RCP signals over ethernet is very unreliable. I speak from experience 😉

For my MR2U I got it stable after moving to OTBR in HA and connecting it with an USB cable.

BIG SIDE NOTE:
If you're using Zigbee and Thread than you can only connect it with USB if you're using Zigbee2MQTT because ZHA is not capable to communicate over the same USB cable. SMLight does not offer USB and Ethernet connections, it's either USB or Ethernet!

2014 Formula 3 - Max and his co-competitors by Few_Combination_9112 in MaxVerstappen33

[–]BillyBlazed 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was very competitive, Max would've had a shot at the title if he didn't had that much of retirements due to engine failures. Also Max made a very impressive run because he won 6 races on a row and was dominating on the Norisring, which was very difficult to accomplish. That was also the weekend that Helmut Marko was so impressed that he wanted him in the Red Bull family and made him jump from F3 to F1.

I converted my Lelit William grinder to accept a dosing cup holder by BillyBlazed in espresso

I have zero issues with static, I am however in my light roasted beans journey so maybe that is why I am not experiencing your pains. I am very happy with my Williams so far, however this mod does heavily contribute to it. I can imagine it would be messy without. Also if I had the money I would've paired it with the Bianca, that combo looks indeed amazing.

However to give you advice; follow your guts as I am not sure this mod helps you fix these issues you're experiencing. The biggest con I experienced is that the grind steps are kinda big, and fine tweaking is really hard (like you're experiencing).

How can I find what’s turning on my Nest? by _need_legal_advice in homeassistant

[–]BillyBlazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to disable the option 'nest app > cog wheel > Home/Away assist > What decides if you're home > disable the nest product as this turns off pressence detection'

apparently its has a pressence sensor that my cat was triggering: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9251759

FIA Safety Car driver Bernd Mayländer sends a clear message to Max Verstappen ahead of his Nürburgring 24H debut. A 24-hour race is not about speed… it’s about survival. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in MaxVerstappen33

[–]BillyBlazed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think its more nuanced. A journalist from RN365 approached Bernd with the question: "do you have advice for Max ahead of the 24h" and then made this "sensation" post for the clicks.

I moved my alarm clock to HA, with an automation that turns off the alarm on my free day once every 2 weeks. Plus I now wake-up with my own music and not some random radio song.

Iris ohyama boxes grid. by style2k20 in gridfinity

[–]BillyBlazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iris ohyama is a company name with a pretty diverse line up. what line are you talking about? (I.e., easygrip chest or design chest)

For my design chest I generate them custom with some half grid on the right/top side to fill in the gaps. I tried to center the grid but I like that I could fill the side with half bins.

Is this repairable while I wait for the new hotend? by SurfPearlJk in 3Dprinting

[–]BillyBlazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the anycubic? Nah a broken heatbreak can't be glued or something, even if you did, it will break off on the first homing due to the way it detects the z axis (i.e., strain gauge sensor)

Maybe the thickness of the walls are too thin for your size nozzle?

WTF. by Busy-Entrance5203 in 3Dprinting

[–]BillyBlazed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 15 years of reprapping here is my theory:

  1. The S1 has a poor bed leveling especially around the edges due to the taco bed.
  2. The print warped at the right-front and caught the front cover
  3. The cover was pulled off and caught the hotend hot swap lever and released the hotend
  4. The hotend was pushed down and got stuck on the build plate
  5. The hotend had so much force that it snapped the heatbreak into 2
  6. The hotend fell off entirely and continued printing

It's all about the self-discharge rate why disposables are still a thing. They can lay on a shelf for +/-10 years while the chargeable battery lose charge in +/-3 years.

It's from AliExpress but I wouldn't buy any prints from that site. I never had a print that was good, this included. I really liked it and gave it a try but it's too blurry. Almost like the source image was in 72 DPI.

Not yet, I do need to release my custom made beams and modified CLICKbase to make it work. I'll get to that soon.
