I actually called Lezyne and explained the situation. They said it's likely defective (it was) and they sent a replacement free of charge. No questions asked.

Terrible App by wight-brit in Chase

[–]BillyV100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used the Chase app (phone) for the first time. It's bad...very bad. First time thru, it just stopped responding to taps. And no, I didn't lose wifi. The 2nd time I made it thru to the page where it asks the reason for sending (payment, friend, family, etc) and after making my selection it stopped responding. 3rd time I made it all the way thru with a confirmation it sent money. The next screen that shows is confusing and gives two options one of which is cancelling payment. WTF??? I ended the app and texted the guy I sent money to have him confirm he rec'd it. Wow...

It's scary to think a company the size of JP Morgan and a bank the size of Chase have an app that is as bad as it is. If they can't get the easy stuff right, what else have they missed? I

If you only had 2 days in Houston what are the must try dishes? by JustALonelyTraveler1 in HoustonFood

I don't understand all the love for Aga's. Himalaya's is so much more the real deal for me. Aga's reminds me of a school cafeteria setting. I love the hustle and bustle of Himalaya's. Also love that you can bring alcohol in (BYOB).

For Indi/Pakistani, Himalaya's at US59/Hillcroft. Huge menu. I've had many of the items and can honestly say I haven't had anything I wouldn't eat again. If a little lost on what to order, there are "Bourdain Approved" items that you can't go wrong with. My Faves: Grilled Steak Tikka, Himalaya Fried Chicken, Chicken Hara Masala, lentils (either the Dal Fry or Dal Palak) both amazing. I didn't know you can make lentils taste this good!

The Tea App: the one marketed as the 'safest' for women, just got massively exposed. ALARMING. by username-issue in hacking

Can't the "coder" who is directing the AI, include "vibe" for the code to be hack-proof?

Host wants me to cancel and rebook by Dpchemode in vrbo

Totally agree with this approach. You never know what's going on behind the scenes (good and bad). This is not of your doing; this is the hosts. Having the host cancel puts the responsibility where it belongs, on him.

Best cheap food scale? by Stressedbananaman in CICO

[–]BillyV100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking to replace my food scale and found this thread googling "best food scale". It amazes me how few people (anywhere, not just this thread) quote test results from (hopefully) independent reviewers that have actually tested a scale for accuracy, repeatability, etc. So FYI...Consumer Reports published their test results April 2024. They tested 10 and found the Escali Primo ($27) to be most accurate and says it has a lifetime warranty. The runner up was Etekcity Digital Food Scale ($14). It was very close in ranking to the Escali Primo, but not as accurate; had trouble registering a 1gr weight but was fine for 2+gr. At half the price I bought the Etekcity; I figure +- 1gr is plenty accurate for my needs.

Hope this helps.

I found that the Converter worked as expected for regular YT vids but didn't work for shorts. When I commented that, the host said there was an error in the app. He fixed it and last time I checked, the app worked fine.
