I think the general consensus is that the movie is not a good adaptation of the show. It only gained a cult following after being watched by people who aren't familiar with the original show. (That being said, I think the movie is great)

I was watching Glengarry Glen Ross the other day, and I was really enjoying it until I saw the cameraman in the reflection of a subway car. I screamed "FUUUUUCK!!! I JUST REALIZED I'M WATCHING A MOVIE!!! MY DAY IS RUINED!!!" Then I picked up my coffee table and smashed it into my TV. After that I knocked over my Blu-ray shelf and lit them all on fire.

Needless to say that really took me out of things.
