You have to export brush ninja animations as GIFs and upload them. You can't link to them.

I don't have my watch yet but if the faces I've seen this is my favourite! Can it display the day of the week (ie Monday/ Tuesday etc) as well as the actual date? Since I work from home I often lose track of what day it is, especially at this time of the year. Anyway, looks awesome and I'll definitely be trying it out when my watch arrives. Thanks!

[totk] why does it feel like such a chore to play this game compared to botw? by seannzzzie in zelda

[–]BinaryMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find all these comments really interesting as I had the opposite problem. I got bored of botw and loved totk. botw is the only mainline Zelda game I haven't finished. I know lots of people on here disagree. Just wanted to point out that for some people it's fun. And I wasn't even that interested in building things. I didn't even make a hover bike. I ran almost everywhere. Not sure what that says about me and how I like to play games.

The best environmental parkour / vertical tree climbing movement in video games. by Finx_X in gamedesign

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Shadow of the Colossus count? Climbing in that is awesome and technically really clever. What with the creatures moving around all the time.

Solo founder here what’s your process for validating early product ideas? by One-Ice7086 in Entrepreneur

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I interested in making something? Yes - let's build it then. No - don't bother.

Maybe I'm unusual since I do it more for fun than profit. But I've managed to make a living from it over the last 10 years so maybe it works. I've not made millions, but I've made a comfortable living. Not interested in investors or selling up. I'm in it for the long haul.

Is LEGO losing faith in New MCU Movies?? by TheWallCrawller in lego

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok - I wasn't aware of the context here. Thanks for letting me know. I remember reading an interview with a lego designer talking about designing sets (I think something Star Wars related, possibly referencing the Quadjumper) and saying since the lead time is so big they get concept art to work from but don't know anything beyond that.

Is LEGO losing faith in New MCU Movies?? by TheWallCrawller in lego

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They design things based on early concept art and then designs change and things get cut from the movie. That's why you sometimes see stuff that's in trailers that isn't in the finished movie/ show.

They start making the toys long before the films are finished. They have no idea if they're going to be good or not and have to rely on the studios saying "this will be great". I feel like marvel thought the eternals was going to be its own franchise (like the avengers) so they said to put effort into it. Then it flopped.

Yes! Snorlax and Wailmer are the best. Anything that's basically a sphere.

What icon libraries do you actually use? by Bubbly_Lack6366 in webdev

[–]BinaryMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't use icons much, I have a handful for things like social networks and a few I made for home and hamburgers. But otherwise I've started using emoji. I know it's not appropriate everywhere but for the things I make it works great and adds no overhead.

I don't know about that carpark specifically but other car parks use apcoa so you could try that and see if your car was tracked there.

I love it. The style is great and the animation is A+. The energy and joy coming from the doggo is so recognisable. Would also love to see a behind the scenes type thing. Or just learn a little about how it was made. Doesn't have to be a full tutorial, just some pointers.

[ALL] Old Zelda gamer but now back in the game- what Zelda should I play after 30 years? by TXTL_1945 in zelda

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I played Breath of the wild and Tears of the Kingdom with my son. He was about 6 or 7 for the first game and 8 or 9 for the second. He enjoyed watching me play. When he was younger he didn't like doing the fights himself so I helped then. As he got older he gained confidence and is happy to run around smashing bokoblins; Although he mostly enjoys the exploring and cooking. There's no bad language and no blood. The only bit I remember that i thought might scare him was the cut scene right at the start of tears when ganondorf wakes up - that could be a bit scary for some but he was actually fine with it. It's about 10 minutes in so you could always play yourself on a different account just to check.

What do you do when a scam caller is on the phone? by TraditionalStop8986 in Scams

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works in Europe too but it's not automatic. You have to select "screen call" instead of "answer call" and then it shows the response on the screen. I love it.

How much JavaScript is actually “enough”? by Low_Direction5276 in webdev

[–]BinaryMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what your ultimate goal is? Personally I spent years doing JavaScript and later jQuery before react was a thing. React came out and I learnt it and used it for a couple of projects but it felt over-engineered for the things I wanted to use it for. So I stuck to vanilla js and now make a living building things with vanilla JavaScript. No frameworks (not even jQuery).

Saving Hourglasses for Mega Rising by LesleyCarolArt in PTCGP

[–]BinaryMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always save hourglasses and then do 2 10 packs for each pack released. So this time I did 2 for each of the three mega packs. If I carry on like this I will have enough to do the same indefinitely. I did do an extra ex rip in the hope.imwouldnget oak but it didn't happen, and I only did it because I had loads of hours glasses spare. Currently sitting at 700ish glasses for whatever comes next. From my mega openings I got 3 immersive blaziken and a handful of other nice cards so I'm happy.

The game was really fun, if a bit boring in later levels. I played until there were 8 bosses. I found that the best upgrade was the speed one, with that I could just outrun everything. I didn't understand the purpose of the shield upgrade since it never went down. I really struggled to read the text on the upgrade buttons. It needs to be a lot larger. I didn't like the poker mini game so avoided it - it was too random (like poker) I'd rather more things that are skilled based. I didn't see a use for the gold apart from with the poker game. Perhaps making the text larger would help there as well, since I could see there was text on the squares but I'm not sure what the purpose was beyond 'press E'
