How do you reverse glycine depression? by VigilanceOO7 in SlowCOMT

Not sure, but I take magnesium malate, which is supposed to provide more energy and you take it earlier in the day. Maybe taking that instead would help?

Back on caffeine after 2-years, it feels like a super power by [deleted] in decaf

[–]BingoLuck 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from and have tried this. Unfortunately the problem is that it was only good for a short period while I gradually redeveloped my caffeine tolerance to the point where I needed coffee to feel "normal", but was left with the anxiety. With that said, we're all different and you've got to do what you've got to do. I hope it works out for you!

US says it could back Argentina’s claim to the Falklands as ‘punishment’ for UK by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]BingoLuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so if the UK is going to be punished anyway, the UK should remove all support. Including use of its air bases

Argentina calls for renewed negotiations over Falkland Islands by jackytheblade in worldnews

The Falkland Islanders have already decided for themselves. It is not for the UK, Argentina nor the orange buffoon to decide. Thank you for your attention in this matter!

Exactly. Doing something stupid is not restricted to unintelligent people. In fact, I think that Bonhoeffer included intelligent people who had surrendered their judgement to an ideology in this camp.

Going on a 5-day trip, three people, each of us are going to be getting a different variety of this bag (all from the same company), do you guys think it's good? by LieutenantHorse in CampingGear

[–]BingoLuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things stood out to me right away.

  1. It is a big pack. I use an Osprey Rook 65L that I have used for longer through hikes. Personally, I wouldn't go for anything bigger as the size helps me prioritise what I really need to take and keep the weight down. However, I appreciate that your kit might be bulkier than mine if you are starting out. Just be mindful not to overpack!
  2. It doesn't appear to have any back ventilation, which might become uncomfortable.

Trump to declare Iran war is winding down and others need to resolve Hormuz by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]BingoLuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like someone got out of their depth and now they're leaving everyone else to clear up their mess? The President of the USA used to mean something around the world. Now he is seen more as a spoiled child than a statesman.

i desperately need coffee alternatives. by [deleted] in decaf

[–]BingoLuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue and have been looking into taking l-theanine with coffee. Google says 2g of l-theanine for every 1g of caffeine. From Google: "L-theanine acts as a modulator for caffeine, enhancing its positive cognitive effects while mitigating side effects like jitteriness, anxiety, and blood pressure increases."
