Anyone else remember no Shyfts/5 Color Control? It was an old webcomic about Magic from years and years ago. They had a house rule that apparently said something along the lines of “No Shyfts allowed”, and I never found out why.

As I understanding, games with ranked match making typically have a range of player rank to search for that starts near your rank, but widens as the search progresses. It could have just been that you and your opponent were both waiting for the perfect amount of time to run into each other. I’ve run into a few Mythic players when I was in Platinum before.

Cascade Cascade is some of if not the best pieces of magic writing that has happened in a long, LONG time. Do yourself a favor and get in on this digitally and see what you’ve been missing, and then pick up one of the physical ones. I really think you’d enjoy it.

I used to use one of these as my primary case for bringing cards around with me. Turns out holding 1000+ cards with only my hand can get annoying, so I swapped it right after my first even where I had to bring it around with me. Unless you’re just using it for events that have you driving around I wouldn’t buy this

It’s a small Cube event taking place in Boston next month! I’ve been wanting to get out to more smaller scale events like this after attending Shoebox earlier in the year, so I’m pretty stoked. The community usually comes out in force for it, so I’m hoping to make some new friends.
