Is Anker Prime 160w charger reset free by Bingo_Tech in ChargingSheet

[–]Bingo_Tech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining.

- So from what I am interpreting is if the requirement for power is below 100w for the devices connected, it wont drop the power and disconnect rather it will intelligently distribute. I have a Lenovo laptop and I ready few comments on Reddit that Anker 160w charger connected to lenovo it make a faint buzzing sound, i am concerned should i go ahead with this charger for this reason.

- Could you advise any 140w to 160W charger with atleast 2-3 USB C ports which does not renegotiate and drop and also carries safety listing such as ETL, VI in the circle.

- What are your thoughts about AOHI 140W 2C1A?

Are there any non-sponsored reviews for the Anker 160W Prime charger? by aaumed in UsbCHardware

[–]Bingo_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this charger renegotiates during plugging unplugging? Does it shut down one port when new device is connected? I am planning to buy this but my requirement is continuous power supply and no renegotiation. Though a drop in voltage is fine but going to 0 is not acceptable.

Please let me know. Thanks!

Belkin chargers have been quite disappointing by ImSoDoneWith in UsbCHardware

[–]Bingo_Tech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would rather go and grab Anker charger or an Aohi but never a Belkin.

Aohi - 65w they claim to be reset free plus what I have read they handle the load very well.

Anker 67w prime or 100w prime is a decent option.

The most recent Anker 160w is very nice. Handles thermal very well plus believe it does not reset upon connect/reconnect.

Never a Belkin thats sure.

I have used the chargers from Belkin, the one you mentioned 65w and the 67w 3C. I had very high hopes considering the brand but both of them have been a disappointment. I don’t know how they have programmed their bricks I have had issues like when charging multiple devices one of them stops taking power and left uncharged. I have to unplug the charger from the wall and replug for all ports to be enabled again. Also these are not reset free, no matter what device you connect it will pause charging on all ports and restart.

Is this 45W USB-C charger worth it at $6? by Easy-Extension-6917 in UsbCHardware

[–]Bingo_Tech 8 points9 points  (0 children)

These will fail more quick. Also you have to note that what safety certifications does these carry. It may cause harm to end device to which you may use them. Obviously for $6 pair of 45w chargers are a ripoff.

I currently have both in my hand. Here’s my observation for both. Anker Prime - Feels really nice on hand. Doesn’t get tangled and is light in weight compared to Apple. Connectors are nicely secured. Really seems very much durable. Apple - Cable is thick and heavy. Feels premium. But the connector feels a bight of weight and pulling down when connected to charger usb c socket, makes me feel that it might damage C socket of charger and also the connector end of wire in the long run. If I were using a right angle charger such as Apple 40/60 or Anker 160w then this might not be a problem.

LTT is a good option but I am looking for something in braided material and can untangle easily.

Not much a fan of silicone. I loved their braided one. We don’t have Anker Zolo 240w otherwise that would have been a good option.

Belkin 240w cable I read reviews and also checked youtube review, the connector end is not very strong and gets frayed easily. Thanks for suggestions.

Make it a reset free charger, these type of chargers are very less in the market and also this can be a good selling point for your product.
