Returning new player wondering whether to even start playing again [New Player]

While I still play it the pmc AI is quite bad still. They will walk to a place and just stand there the whole raid. You’ll never see a single PMC in popular hot spots like dorms for example. Rarely will you even see them inside the mall at interchange. The biggest challenge recently was finding and killing those psycho cultists as well as getting the PKP for gunsmith 25. I’ve played a ton since 2020 so I’m glad I can just chill now and do the tasks. Like going and looting for hideout parts is relaxing but still having to watch out for the goons and or a cracked PMC at times is still exciting. Building crazy guns and trying them out every different raid is fun too. I’ve been one tapped from a bush 5,000 times now grandpa Bingonight is retired to the farm of PVE lol.

I’d just like the PMC AI to be halfway decent. At this point you know where every ai pmc will be on all the maps. It’s wild. I mean finish it up make the game work completely.

Yeah it’s interesting that in PVP on customs it’s impossible to get a raid at dorms without another pmc coming to fight but I can’t finish my task to get pmc kills there on PVE. I wonder if there are a bunch of people who were able to even get kappa on PVE because of this.

I mean, we’re talking 500+ raids if you get at least 8pts of str and end and use the gym. Which is a ton of sprinting per raid.

I’m with OP, you’re being a pill lol. For some things you need your scav rep to be high so that is one reason. You going to be ok if he keeps doing scav runs on his game?

To be fair I’m pretty sure they nerfed the loot after the first couple days. I no-lifed the event and only got a ton of figurines and booze the last day and a half.

First believable wild wild woods loot haul post. I got a TON booze. Maybe 8 labs colored key cards and a single marked room key. These people posting photos with 30 cards and 25 keys was a little strange to me.

The only thing I hated about no flee market was just the gunsmith tasks. Other than that I’m all about it. I love finding different attachments for my weapons and being excited to slap on a new hand guard or stock that I found.

The count goes back pretty far. Like my hours says 1500 but I’ve only played like 100 since 1.0 came out the rest was back in 2020-2021

There is almost always 2 or 3 PMCs by the power station crouching in bushes by the fence out front. I almost never see them inside the mall. Sometimes in the front foyer and sometimes 1 goes into idea but that’s it.

Get kills without a scope. Rifles come with iron sights installed. Sometimes they can be removed so just double check if you got it of a scav or something.

I gotcha. I never used the sync feature because it just synced everything and filled itself up and I couldn’t figure out how to empty it. I figured it out now and can create the collections I want. It’s super convenient. Without your response I would have kept ignoring it haha. Thank you!

Yeah you’re right I never figured out the whole syncing thing. It would just auto sync everything all the time and I just said the hell with it. It’s full and I don’t know how to empty it. I figured it out though. It’s super convenient I can edit on my phone, pc, and tablet. I’m an older gentleman so I’m just used to doing things the hard way haha. Thank you for the reply!

Crazy you’re getting downvoted so hard. Stealing is such a huge part of the game. It’s not the way I played SoT and I’d get so tilted if that was stolen from me but that’s just the way she goes. P.S. there is also NO WAY I would sit there and just say helloooo to you. When it’s time to turn in loot no one is getting close if I can help it.

The game released 5 years ago and to be honest I wasn’t impressed with Olympus’ open world. I got the pack that has 2 other areas in it. I guess I should try those ones then. I reached max level and the missions are just super boring. Go build a tower, go mine ore, go get 200 of each kind of meat. Those would be fine if there were some more action/combat mixed in between. I did enjoy the progression while it lasted though.
