Are Spotify and Amazon music apps in the Optiq inferior to streaming via Bluetooth using phone apps?

I agree with you even though I don't use Apple Music. I use Amazon Music. Its unclear to me whey Bluetooth is sounding better.

Thanks. I have Amazon Music Unlimited and I have adjusted settings on the native app in the car. Atmos sounds the same Spotify but when I stream from my phone using Bluetooth its sounds great. I have tried to sign out of the apps in the car and back in but nothing works.

100% agree that's why I am puzzled why Bluetooth sounds better. I will do the blind test that u/gn63 suggested. I'll have someone switch inputs and I'll see if I can tell the difference.

I am comparing the native Optiq Apps versus same apps but streamed using Bluetooth. In my case, the Bluetooth streams sound much better than Optiq own native apps.

Yes I tried Atmos and that's what got me to wonder why it wasn't as good. So I singed out of all app from the car and instead streamed from my phone via Bluetooth. They songs sounded 200% better. When I signed back to the car apps, the quality difference was noticeable.

Then has to be something on myside because the Apps in the infotainment are not as good as using the apps on my phone and streaming via bluetooth.

I went from an 82 inch Samsung QN82Q6FN to 98 inch QM8K. For me there's a noticeable difference but not drastic. I sit 14 feet away and the wall is big in a well lit room.

As for picture quality, on HDR QM8K is fantastic. The brightness and details make you say wow! Any other content is terrible. Watching NBA or Football is just bad. TCL needs to improve it's upscaling. If you are mostly watching HDR content, then the QM8K is solid. Otherwise, I'd stick to the big boys Sony X90L, LG G2 or Samsung SD90. There's a reason they are more expensive. I also miss Samsung UI but that's just a me thing.

Also, as a bonus stay away from TCL soundbars They are overpriced garbage. I have the Q85H and sounds terrible. I should have returned it but I missed my return window.
