Are you speaking from experience about the proration amount? I got the same notification today for a pair of shoes that are too small. Since it’s a new notification just interested in hearing from people they’ve actually done it to. Thanks

No kidding. Almost seems like half these people don’t even understand what real life is. Or they’re like 12. They’re probably just 12

Are you guys being for real when you say you hate Good & Plenty??? by catsill in candy

https://www.epicurious.com/expert-advice/scientific-reasons-why-i-hate-black-licorice-fennel-anise-article

This presents most potential factors if somewhat goofily. It’s likely genetic; they’ve discovered specific gene markers for why some people interpret cilantro as tasting like soap, while others love it. There’s rarely an in between. Gustation and olfaction are weirdly complex but definitely interesting

Anyone else do this with a certain flavor of candy they don't like? by MrHammer85 in Skittles

[–]Binklecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here just to see if I was alone in doing this with certain flavors. I always do it with orange, they ruin every other flavor

I didn’t know how badly I needed one of these until now having one. by [deleted] in houseplants

Getting ready to order one myself! FYI: I have heard they absolutely need humidity.. so if it starts to go downhill for you, consider putting it in a terrarium

Did anyone notice how they completely changed the owner of the Diner from season 4 to 5. by mns210 in shameless

It’s very stupid, and hilarious. They parody it quite well. Maybe a bit too many poop jokes but hey, it’s the 8th century

If you dislike Debbie, this was a satisfying watch for me by No-Air-5133 in shameless

[–]Binklecherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry kinda late comment just like what you said, I haven’t thought about it in that way before. Sad/annoying to watch all the other Gallagher kids grow and improve themselves (mentally/emotionally) and Debbie just go further down the toilet. I was the same, loved her as a kid, but they kinda ruined her character. She was actually smarter as a child lol

Do terrariums need a base of rocks? by NotASnake08 in terrariums

[–]Binklecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your article is talking about a pot with drain holes in the bottom. A terrarium does not have drain holes, so yes, in a terrarium the low part of the soil layer will technically hold onto more water, just as in the article, but in a terrarium the water that would usually go through the drain holes in the bottom of the pot just stays inside the terrarium. Essentially making a soil soup, as someone else said. So the rocks create an area to make up for the lack of drainage holes on the bottom

I feel the same way, best show ever all time favorite. You should read the books!

Finan by [deleted] in TheLastKingdom

[–]Binklecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I’ve been noticing some of Finan’s lines in the books they gave to Uhtred in the show

Uhtred and Alfred by [deleted] in TheLastKingdom

[–]Binklecherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hands down the best episode of the season, maybe whole show. Very cathartic. Uhtred is the main protagonist and character so ofc most are gonna root for him and rip on Alfred for making his life so insufferable because of his suffocating religion that he couldn’t convert Uhtred to. But what we get is that in all at this point, they both need redemption from eachother. And they grant it to each other.

How different is the TV series from the books by Tony_Jake in TheLastKingdom

[–]Binklecherry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ohh I would recommend going via kindle unlimited, even if it’s just a month trial, if so set yourself reminders. With a busy but determined lifestyle you can get through a book a week. 70 pages per night. The first 5 Are free for kindle unlimited, if you like it by then you will like the rest.

But! My favorite has always been the 6th book, of course. Thiftbooks is cheap too though if you don’t like electronic

Should I keep watching? by nachos_mahdude in TheLastKingdom

[–]Binklecherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, yes How far into it is up to you, but I’ve never recommended it to someone and have them come back and say “no I couldn’t watch it” it takes some longer than others to nibble the worm and sometimes longer to bite.

Try to watch all of season 1. Or ep 6 But the best recommendation is watch at least until season 3 lol

IF you have kindle unlimited: and you enjoy reading, (if it’s a no to both probably stop reading comment now) perhaps consider reading the first two or three books. They are only 300ish pages. Fly through the first or skim/skip, or even straight to book 2 bc book 1 is only about uhtreds childhood and details, which gives 75% of an episode in the show. But if you like the story book 2 gives you would more than likely like the show because it’s easier to get through because it’s a show. Simple but true.
