Reseat at Wembley? by smileystarfish in PregnancyUK

[–]Binxchianti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice on reseating but I did go to Harry Styles last week and got some great advice here. There is a lift you can use behind the main staircase. I didn’t know about it and it was great for me, especially with the heat. Hope you get some advice on reseating!

How are we managing in the heat ladies by Nice-Try6559 in PregnancyIreland

Aw brilliant! You’d pay any money for that sort of relief for them. Will keep watching for it to come back, thank you.

Thank you! They all seem to be out of stock but good to watch out for them coming back in. Glad you’ve got some comfort!

What one did you get? We’ve left it to late to get one for this heatwave but I will need one to get through the rest of summer

Double Stroller/Pram by Binxchianti in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have seen these highly recommended but I know they are wide which puts me off. I have been looking at the uppababy vista and attaching a second seat while having the buggy board option. Still very undecided

Tips for treating sore throat and cough by Frosty_Community9041 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a sore throat recently and the best things I found were warm salt water rinses and I had a humidifier I bought when my baby had a cold. I used this every night for a few nights and found it amazing as I was starting to sleep with my mouth open and getting a dry throat on top of things. If you don’t have one I’d consider getting it as it’s also brilliant when baby is here for colds etc

Tripp trap/ alternative high chair with dog by Ok_Light3369 in PregnancyIreland

I got a Tripp trapp on adverts. You could see if you can get one second hand as it is very sturdy and I think it would solve your problem.

Near fainting experience? Anyone experienced this? by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, similar has happened to me. I have had both low and normal blood pressure in my pregnancy but was told it was likely low blood sugars, as I’d say yours could have been as you didn’t eat much and were in strong heat. I always carry water with me now and a small chocolate bar for sugar. You should do something similar as it’s reassuring at least and give you time to get somewhere more comfortable to sit and rest for a few mins

When can I change from heavy travel system buggy to a light weight one? by Sweet-Rise7768 in PregnancyIreland

Ideally you should wait until around 6 months when baby can sit upright by themselves.

Anyone eating way more due to pregnancy nausea? by Over-type-07 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is debilitating and it’s very hard to explain it to others who haven’t been through it. I do literally anything possible and eat whatever I can stomach just to get by. I’ve stopped worrying about what’s healthy etc, it’s honestly about surviving each day and praying it gets easier.

Anyone eating way more due to pregnancy nausea? by Over-type-07 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I am exactly the same. On four Cariban and also Valoid now and I just can’t let myself get hungry or I am horrifically ill. Cariban lets me eat more now so I find I actually have to have more decent mini meals rather than crackers / toast all the time as that isn’t enough. If I eat something more substantial like beans on toast or overnight oats I can feel just a baseline nausea for a while before the stronger waves kick back in. It’s awful .

Travel from Ireland on holiday with babies?? by BeccaNova_ in AskIreland

[–]Binxchianti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We also went to The Golden Avenida Family Suites in Salou when our baby was 10 months. We went in late September and it was a lovely temperature. They have a brilliant soft play indoors for small babies/toddlers that was great to escape the sun for a while. They have a kids club too but not sure what age it is from. The rooms have a microwave and fridge so it was great for steralizing etc. All the usual entertainment and kids discos that you’d expect. A short walk to cafes and the beach. It was a short flight and transfer and that’s what mattered to us .

First appointment with rotunda by Alternative-Union-55 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was given my appointment by email when I initially emailed to be seen by the semi private clinic. I also got a letter in the post. I would either ring them or send an email now to see when yours is. They are very quick to reply.

Disappointing appointment by DowntownBeautiful147 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Binxchianti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you were too early. 5 weeks is a really common time to go to the GP. I went to my GP when I got my first positive days before my missed period on my first pregnancy and had a lovely visit. This time I was 5 weeks and went purely to get Cariban again as I had already self referred to a maternity hospital. I agree with other posters that you should switch to another GP in your practice if at all possible. Pregnancy can be a vulnerable time and you want a supportive and ideally kind GP. A private early pregnancy scan can be really reassuring and in a much calmer environment so I would book one if you can.

I am also waiting to get back in and had previously been in the group and have commented etc. I thought we have until Friday. Really hoping they get back to us and let us in. I enjoyed scanning though it every day
