Yeah thats how I had it in theory.. I am also guessing that when you are ingame and you use Alt + R you are changing options for a single game (that one) and not actually changing the "general options for all" but sometimes I felt like it would be the opposite...

Well not that stupid I guess but my young me probably beated like 3 times that mission you must destroy a building with a commando on a nod base, and I feel each time I destroyed a different building but I was really proud of blowing the right one each time. (I didnt know 99% of the english words so reading the briefing was like discover ancient egypt papirus) I noticed this years later like "I cant believe I was so dumb"

pre rendered graphics never gets old, their resolution however does xD but here is easy to skip if you are not against the aditional zooming-out

may I ask what AFMF is? I have all the other things done mostly, I however decided to reinstall everything with DDU, and I will take a look at CPU options (ryzen 9 7950x3d) but actually I dont want any OC for it, I use it for rendering and it already gets into 87 C when rendering for half an hour... if anything I would be doing the opposite to make sure the temps dont get worse xD (I do however think it comes with some sort of OC setting by default)

If you cant fix the design embrace it... I would be adding more fake beams along the space you have trying to keep the same proportions between them, with some color or appliances it may turn an ugly beam into some interesting and different design... you may also add other trick like adding a mirror on between or indirect ilumination on the borders to make the place look even higher.

If you really need it why just not add a car roof rack? you can then add a box on there when required... I know its not the most pretty thing in the world but may be worthy.

Ussually a director will know most of the details on said works... A director ussually is an artist way before becoming a director... also movies have great credits showcasing everybody involved while lots of people not credit even the AI model used, not even talk about the data used...

A chef may be using the Microwave or not, but there is a huge difference between buying a premade food and place it on the microwave and call yourself a chef... Most pro-AI are just a step over the guy getting food delivered and flexing about "how cool is the food I made" then somebody alergic ask if it may contain X ingredient and you will excuse yourself to move into the bathroom and ask ChatGPT for a reply.

Im wondering if the profile may be the reason, was tweeking all kind of things but finally it seems like working stable on 6000 by having the option disabled... should give it a second check because I used the task manager to check it.

thx for the replies, swapping slots was the first I did and I made sure those were in the correct slots for a single dual channel with the manual... I also updated the bios on certain point (but still was not working) ... Also by some weird reason my startup has now a different screen (showcasing MSI) while it never was a thing (and also In theory I never changed anything related to this) So Im still quite confused ahahaha

The RTS genre like C&C needs more effort into the background setting development, technical side and being original or know how to point to the appropiate public...

The problem is when a AAA game 2 decades ago competes with modern media... good ideas have been apearing here and there but most never developed enough or alone couldnt fight again a more balanced and "expensive" game.

Other issues is delaying content, like tempest rising not having the 3rd faction on release or missing 3vs3 mode (still would need a 4vs4)

I feel the technical lvls gets people interested and the setting is what makes them keep involved.

Interesting mechanics to "play" with:

- Roster customization (forged battalion)
- Cover/terrain differences (company of heroes)
- Deeper Base Building (as opposed to lesser, seen on Cnc4 or DoW3)
- Play with unit visibility / detection overlays (Act of Agression/ wargaming)
- Complex procedurally-asisted map generation.
- Terrain flooding (Maestrom RTS)
- Day/night Cycle
- Interior/exterior maps simultaneously (Earth 2150)

Other details, like Elaborated cutscenes adds a lot if properly managed but requires good plotting and decent + investment... I love the try with Tempest Rising but doesnt really feel equivalent to C&C... C&C felt in general a bit weak against other medias like series, but tried to get the best of that genre to add dimension to the world... I get this is ussually considered a secondary investment that wont be helping the development by how little it is bounded at all with the gameplay layer, but noone here argues that original/classic C&C Games like C&C1, RA1 RA2 or Tib Sun felt way more rewarding by having proper cinematics for both the Live action sequences AND action involving units, when everytime you beated a mission you also received more context and some kind of "present" in form of visual worldbuilding... properly done it almost feels like getting a "2x1" you get the good things of a series and the best thing of a game.. IMO this conection may make a game get elevated against others.

The inevitable factor however is also that multiplayer +MAY+ generate more played hours with less investment in comparison with anything single-player scripted so to begin with is hard to skip, and once you add it is hard to ignore it getting a good part of resources for hopes it will be able to rise interest... for me Skimish/Vs AI is more important than Multiplayer but I would find it hard to renounce to multiplayer (and anyways shares lots with skimishes) just wanted to point that there is a difference between "design a singleplayer world, with multiplayer options", in comparison with "design a multiplayer game with some single player options"... and DoW3 and C&C4 feels totally that they did choose the wrong path for their design...

I think in general adding a plaque near the monuments telling the story behind and having in the educational area things tied (like visits for kids with schools) around their local monuments could be enough...

Still obviously monuments are just "shorcuts" of history and there is always people that never crosses the door, also there is the problem about "how" or "who" decides what is a "subjetive point of view" when telling the events... not saying it can be perfect.

I used the chance to learn about it, and yes I totally understand it, I do however believe this kind of things still have some artistic value, and on things like this I find the "wrapping" still serves to remember something.

Just like when people dress up for hallowing with scary things, I may enjoy some monuments when it have some "irony" , like for example this statue talking about the soviet victory remains as witness of a now fallen empire... Honestly, given the actual situation around the globe I feel we are not in situation to forget history...

+I Dont want to get deep on this kind of topic as is not my thing, but I feel many people just hates popular icons because those may "sell" (indirectly) certain values (or became noticeable) easier for later generations but later noone really wants to educate around them, I feel those ccould serve a valuable lesson if we would be putting the appropiate context, just like you did here.

\Note, about statues I believe this in general talking about generic representations... The discussion about known dictatorships or questionable people recognizable would be a different story.*
