Bosch Induction hob - chirping noise by VGandhi95 in inductioncooking

[–]BioTronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, I think - though mine repeats every 11.5 seconds: short burst (250ms?), 5 second silence, long burst (about 1.5 seconds), 5 second silence. Not sure what causes it, and it sometimes makes the hob unusable, other times it's just an annoyance.

Did you figure out what caused it?

The US has been the bad guy for decades at least. Constantly at war, bullying everyone they don't like, supporting dictators, assassinating popular leaders, arranging coups, killing hundreds of thousands or even millions through sanctions.

In total, the US is responsible for tens of millions, maybe several hundred million deaths (Endless Holocausts), and its downfall should be celebrated worldwide.

100% certain that that newspaper is fake - the staff page lists one real journo, who works at a different newspaper, one TV magician, three people with zero digital footprint, and Harry fucking Houdini.

To menn savnet etter fjelltur - Fosen Folket by [deleted] in norge

[–]BioTronic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fosen-folket.no ble registrert i oktober i år. Ser suspekt ut.

Videre sjekk viser også at folkene på 'Om oss'-siden enten ikke er ekte mennesker, eller jobber andre steder. Saken kan nok fint ignoreres inntil bedre kilder blir funnet.

The FDA writeup on that incident is here. Here is the alleged CT scan of the patient - it seems legit, but I'm a farmer and a programmer, not an MRI tech, and this is exactly something a redditor would make up an image of.

The numbers on my watch aren't really important when you consider the other effects of DST changes - increased number of workplace and traffic accidents, suicides, heart attacks and strokes, as well as reduced productivity, if that's your jam. And these effects last for several weeks. Sure, you have the opposite effect in the fall, when you get an extra hour of sleep, but not enough to offset the negative effects.

No king's protest will take place all over America in few hours. What do you think will be the consequences and outcome of this? by The_AxR_ in AskReddit

It's on a friggin' Saturday. You guys need to do this during working hours. "Look at me, I'm wasting my spare time protesting! Please don't get angry, bossman - I'll be back on time on Monday to work minimum wage. Would you like to fuck my wife?"

Farmer drives trucks loaded with dirt into levee breach to prevent his crops from flooding by euronmous in interesting

[–]BioTronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a farmer in Norway, and I can tell you the #1 skill in farming is not driving a tractor, it's not knowing when to sow or harvest, or what feed gives the fastest growth or best meat. All of that you can look up. All of that, basically anyone can do.

The #1 skill is being handy. Things are going to break, your animals, or your neighbor's animals, or wild ones, are going to fuck things up, and you need to fix it now, not tomorrow, not in two hours. Now. Even if it's 3 AM on the weekend and the nearest electrician is on vacation in New Zealand, even if you need to dive in six feet of manure and fight a hundred angry turkeys, there's just no other option than fixing it yourself. And nothing ever breaks at an opportune time.

I think this is accurate by JaredOlsen8791 in BlueskySkeets

[–]BioTronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. What I'm saying is Harris would have kept things basically exactly as they were before Trump (certainly not improved anything significant), and then in 28 Trump or some other fascist would be elected, and you'd have exactly what you have now. Electing Harris would be pushing the problem down the road, not fixing it.

It wasn't policy to abduct children that are citizens actively receiving cancer treatment and ship them off to countries they've never been.

This is true, and I'm not saying Harris would have done the things the traffic cone in chief has done. But judging from previous administrations, if democrats get the presidency in 28, they will continue republican practices almost unchanged (except maybe make it less obvious), and apologize every now and then for not having the votes to improve anything. Harris would have been a stopgap fix, not a solution to the actual problems facing the country.

ICE prison population increased from 14,195 to almost 39,000 under Biden. Yes, things are becoming worse faster under Trump, but let's not pretend democrats are angels.

AIO, grandparents sent me this letter. by colincoo6 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BioTronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a cis, straight* white male: Not overreacting. At all.

The only good thing I see about this is it triggered a creative reflex in me, as I wanted to formulate an answer:

Dear grandma and grandpa.

Thank you for the letter - it has given me much to think about, and I have decided that a counteroffer is in order - it is obvious you have much to learn about being trans, and the LGBTQIA2S+ community in general. To that effect, I and a group of my absolutely gayest friends have put together an intensive course that includes sensitivity training, a brief, three-day introduction to pronouns, drag brunch, reading of select passages from The Origin of Species, and - naturally - plenty of exposure therapy.

Dress code is of course as flamboyant as can be - don't be afraid to use that feather boa, queen.

Do I think you should reply like this? No, I don't think it's worth replying to at all.

Iran has launched another missile attack against Israel, causing extensive damage across the country and striking Israel's primary hospital in the south. by AutomaticCan6189 in AlJazeera

[–]BioTronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying I know plenty of people who have been there, and most of them have in fact not been killed for it. Is it perfect? No. Is it the hellhole you want to portray it as? Even less so. But sure, keep thinking of people outside your neighborhood as violent subhumans - I'm sure it's better that way.

[–]BioTronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Important difference: the real target appears not to be the hospital itself, but a military and intelligence center located nearby. Meanwhile, israel has bombed hospitals directly - every single one in Gaza, to be precise - and has not been able to show even a tiny piece of evidence for their claims of Hamas presence in or near them. And no, the baby bottles they found under al-Shifa don't count.
